Very large hail storm...baseball sized hail!

i've seen hail that size before, i put some in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer before it melted. it's still there to this day. this was in the summer of 2011, so it wasn't that long ago.

ps: i kept the hail because it was super friggin cool. haha don't hate please.

i live in centerville and in my area of houses we have a pool accros t he street and it got completly damaged and we had to get a whole new pool and there still not done, they were softball sized at my house

Its umm actually the size of a lacrosse ball.....

@19ballerboy the largest a lacrosse ball can be would give it a diameter of maybe 2.5" which doesn't match the hailstone. When I found it fresh out of the storm the shortest length it had was 2 x 3 x 4. So the hailstone was roughly double the size of a lacrosse ball when I found it. And that's using the measurements I took after keeping it in a defrosting freezer for a while.

@FuriousPumpkin Was there a funnel cloud? I remember when I was little seeing hail that big and a funnel cloud. I thought it was cool but my mom was having a heart attack that I was outside.

@achilles7 Insurance person is coming soon, the cars are taken care of thankfully we have a great company. The siding took a beating in some places, the hail was coming in at angles close to horizontal at one point thankfully none hit the storm door or windows.
