  • @all ~ question: I like the music into this bar where Felix goes in.(gogo-table dance??) Does anyone knows the title of the piece they are playing or band namewhich is playing?

Beside of that this is one of my absolute must favs. Saw it first time when I was 11 years old. Still great! Greetz from Germany! thx for reply!

  • This was one of the funniest films I have ever seen. I had a smile on my face all the way through. But the sequel... Oh my god, the sequel is the worst pile of turd ever.

  • @Eliskoopa You are right about that sequel. To see more good Lemmon and Matthau check out The Fortune Cookie (1966 written and directed by Milly Wilder). Not as achingly hilarious as the Odd Couple but still very good.

  • @rhill54 Thanks, I'm going to watch it with my girlfriend tomorrow. We liked The Odd Couple so much. it was hillarious. About the sequel - the authours completely missed the point. It was so stupid.

  • Is Oscar playing or not?

  • Classic Billy Wilder Movie!

  • I Love this :)

  • jack lemmon is so adroable in this film

  • Lemmon is walking down W. 47th between Seventh and Sixth Avenues in Manhattan in the very opening. The aerial shows the neon signs of crummy hotels on 47th...in distance on right you can see the version of the (still present though greatly altered) Coca-Cola ad at 47th and Broadway in Times Square. The Flanders Hotel Lemmon goes into was demolished and there's a parking garage there now. St. Francis Hotel (dump shown on "Big" (1988) is at lower left in street aerial - now renovated.

  • @Philacav Thanks for that information. That was very interesting. I wonder if Child's or the Metropole are still around? I also wonder if there apartment was on Central Park West or not? The mind reels. :) I remember when there both on the roof and the highway {i forget the name} can be seen below.

  • @Buffalobigboy69 Child's restaurants were all out of business by the 1970's; they were cafeteria format restaurants and had been around since the early 20th century. The Metropole is there, but is called "Lace", a strip club. The Metropole name survived into the early 90's. It had been a famous jazz club; in Odd Couple, it was in the midst of transitioning to strip club. Apartment was on Riverside Drive; the highway you see is NY Route 9W, or "West Side Highway".

  • @Philacav Thank-you. Your certainly a fountain of knowledge. Thinking about it. I sure wish i could have afforded Oscars apartment in 1968 or even now. He really must have been the NYC's highest paid sports writer!

  • Just perfection, perfection on film. One of the classics!

  • Thank You So Much ! So Many Ppl Are Paying Youtube To See This Movie When You Catch At The Corner Of Your'e Eye! I Almost Payed To See This Movie. Jack Lemmon & Walter Mattau Are Brilliant Actors! Every Single Scene Is Pitch Perfect! Its So Sad That They Died They Were Brilliant Actors. No Movie Is This Good Like This Anymore. These Actors and These Sets And These Perfect Scene's Are Lengendary!

  • Serious contender for the funniest movie ever made.

  • love this one and the second one , they both make me laugh and confort me lol wierd to say they are movies to have a nice snooze to . or watch and laugh your ass off

  • 2:08 One little error, the desk manager already set down his meal, but when it cuts to Lemmon, he's holding it up again. Excellent movie altogether.

  • First saw it in 1968, a great classic!

  • Saw this movie for the first time 2 days ago and man was I missing out. I love the scence where Felix and Oscar meet the sisters. Awkard and funny as hell.

  • Lemmon is a great actor - that walk at the beginning - the face, the eyes, the voice, the body language tell us exactly what he is feeling.

  • Terrific. One of the truly great comedies.

  • awesome videos. great channel

  • Great movie !!!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you sooo much for posting this awesome classic! Love it! :-)))

  • what is the name of that tune in the metropole cafe...?...been trying to find it..no sucsess!..cheers!.

  • You can tell why their wives broke up with them

  • THIS, my friends, is a comedy classic!

  • Great film! What are some other good films by J. Lemmon and Walter? I've seen Grumpy and grumpier old men, but what about some real classics from them?

  • @roenstein Type in The Sunshine Boys and click on the second one. It's Walter Matthau and George Burns. Everytime I watch this movie I laugh so hard I get tears. It was only put up a week ago and I found it out of luck because whenever someone puts it up it doesn't stay very long. I think George Burns was 79 when he won an Oscar for it.

  • @roenstein i wish "The Fortune Cookie" was here

  • I just love this film. SIgh

  • Thank you sooooo much for the videos, excellent quality too.

  • Thanks for uploading!! Been wanting to watch this for a while!

  • thanks for loading! This is one of my absolute favorite movies!!

  • Ah, this is a classic, even the music is great. Thank you so much for posting it, I'll watch all of it right away!

  • "you're winning 95 dollars thats what time it is where the hell are you running?"

  • Thank you sooooooo much for uploading this!! One of my favourite films ever!!

  • Anyone seen "Piccolo Diavolo" with Walter and Roberto Benigni? Superb.

  • This is THE single funniest movie ever. Every single line in the film is funny... no filler. Classic.

  • Walter Mathau made a movie with George Burns called The Sunshine Boys. I couldn't stop laughing. I can't find it either.

  • I love watching old movies. I can't believe they made the part 2 movie after 30 years (1968-1998)

  • Look at the girls on 6.35

They have girls for every taste and they are not skinny like the ones on TV and film nowadays.

  • i JUST LOVED the TV show, but never had a chance to see the film. Thanks so much

  • Just the other they showed on TCM and now I can watch here. Thanks so much it really put a smile on my face.

  • @0888vane They didn't show it on TCM,it was on AMC.

  • @mustangsdiehard1fan They used to show this crazy funny movie on AMC but, now thank God they show this movie on TCM when it's avaible!

  • @califgirl101 It was never shown on TCM before, but it was on AMC though.Hey we might have different schedules on our tv stations,so that could be the reason why.

  • @mustangsdiehard1fan I understand that they showed The Odd Couple on AMC the first time but, if you go to the turner classic movies website and type in The Odd Couple you can see for yourself when they'll be showing it again! There's your proof and here's your sign!

  • @califgirl101 Ok,it wasn't the first time on AMC by the way.The Odd Couple had always been on the station for years. They never showed it on TCM before here so.It's not on the TCM website now,you mean't American movie classics.

  • @mustangsdiehard1fan Yes, at the time it was American Movie Classics but, again go back into the turner classic movies website and just type in The Odd Couple and find out if and when it will be on again!

  • @califgirl101 Ok,it's still on American Movie Classics, but they play more than TCM here.I tried it on the website with TCM and said search not found error, because they want the zip code of where you live to know the schedule. It' didn't show up so,obviously everyone's schedule is different in each state so.It's impossible to have all schedule the same for someones tv station,I mean that would be awkward if that happen before. Thanks for telling me your details about TCM.It's Interesting to know!

  • wow thx so much for uploading this i love classic films

  • Wonderful film...don't know which was better, the movie or the TV show.

  • jack lemmon was truely an amazing actor.

  • Can't belive the whole film is on here, you made my day, lol

  • when was this movie

  • @Amaya524
