wow they were never a disappointment... they are better live than in recordings... most bands make a sweet recording with the new technology but cant back it up live... Phish could

they were so creative, interactive with the fans, and super grateful for the scene. I think Trey missed it by about 5 years when he said they didn't want to become a caricature of themselves. they totally did. I sincerely hope they don't get back together ever. Leave it where it is, good memories, good tapes, good music.

I devoted about 10 years of my music appreciating life to these guys. love them like an old friend whose passed on.

trey admittedly reports he didn't know what he was saying then and I never really thought he did. Something this beautiful doesn't need to prematurely end unnecessarily. They worked so hard for what they had. They were all passion. Before Trey said "I think we should stop because..." Nobody ever would have or did say "Wow, Phish should really call it quits sometime here soon." Doesn't fit. Its an excuse. It certainly does no harm to engage people who truly appreciate music in music.

I know it's a completely different band, but back in 1983-1984 the Police got together and looked at their career and said,"It's not going to get any better than this, let's stop now and move in our seperate directions and if the future holds anything else for this configuration, so be it!" And that's what they did. They left on top. Sure they reunited 15 years later...but it hels nothing but AMAZING memories for the fans. I remember going to shows in Late 1999 and thought,"they're done!"

newsflash...the policy broke up because they absolutely hated each others guts and still do to this day.

if the guys in phish get along and want to play again there is no reason not to. They are still writing new music so it's not like the police tour where they went out and played nothing but the hits.

They're like the dead. they can (and should) play forever. It brings joy and happiness to people the world over. Just because YOU moved on and like hipster music now, doesn't mean they should not play anymore. Don't judge.

It's amazing to see again! It makes me sad to think about the direction they headed towards the end. These were the days for this band. 91-95 were the shit.

Silverchair you truly are a blessing! Wow, I've never seen Trey so fired up. This was the beauty in their music, how much they truly enjoyed what they were doing and how much it came from the heart.
