Lively vibrant Real Relevant - unlike today's so called 'music' i think i once read somewhere that David Cassidy, a girl was trampled to death at one of his concerts and he said, 'That's it', and he stopped his concert touring for good i think, The Who, 22 people in Cincinnati, ohio died of being trampled to death, and the Who didn't even care, especially Pete Townshend that fucking asshole, i'd love to kick that fucker's ass, he even made a smart remark regarding the 22 deaths, he didn't care

@WiseGuy02 - I think he wound up being nice to her and dropping that Janet, who was not even a nice person and had a wicked chip on her shoulder or something!! Can't believe I remember those details 40 years later!!!
@WiseGuy02 xD ikr my mom makes me watch the show i asked her the same thing in the samewords and she was like shut up Julia and i said i was only saying the truth haha
@WiseGuy02 i always applaud David Cassidey for never doing a concert again after that girl got killed by trampling at one of his concerts back in the seventies, i think, english assholes 'The Who' did and maybe still dont care about the 22 people killed at their cinncinati, ohio concert, pete townsend even said a smartalec remark, townsend, ur a fucking piece of shit, u think ur cool, u suck ass, roger daltreys a fuckin weirdo asshole too, bunch of pricks
My Sister and I would fight over which song was better...this one or "I Think I Love You"...I ALWAYS LOOOVED this one better!!!! LOVE the PARTIDGE FAMILY!!!!
@tedm1975 David Cassidy may have very well been up there with both of them had it not been for the Partridge Family. However,it was the Partridge Family sitcom that gave him exposure to the masses. He had resented the stigma for a long time until he inevitably aged and accepted it once and for all.
This was my second-fave PF song, after I Think I Love You.
I remember the episode like it was yesterday - although it was closer to 49 years ago
Keith was wanted and desired by so many girls who were in love with him- but he kept running away because he was obsessed with with a girl who wasn't so in love with him.
I was in 7th grade when this came out,had the David Cassidy hair, the fringed levi's and waffle stompers. Could'nt have timed it better, but I havent been as popular with the girls since. :)
Great scene to go with the song. Although it was the B-side to I Think I Love You, in some ways I liked Somebody Wants to Love You more. Maybe not as catchy as ITILY, but more real and soulful.
I used to listen to this song off my LP back in the 70's. LP is long gone and I haven't heard this song for 35 years or so. I Googled the lyrics because I remember it was something about 'when you're all alone and far away from home'.
what ever happened to Actress Claire Wilcox the girl who played cathy in the green dress in this episode 1st season 6 th show and one other episode during the 3th season. This actress played in many tv shows and a movie with tony curtess.
I have the first 2 seasons of this, I know by now there should be more released, I got the greatest hits cd. This was a entertaining show that always had a lesson to learn. David and his stepmom (Shirley) getting to work together was pretty cool. I was much older when I found out that David was the only one actually, he'd go to a studio after doing the show, to record the tracks with some other back up singers, I forget they're, name. He worked his butt off, regardless the show was great, karen
It's pretty great going back and now watching these shows with an adult's understanding. When I was a child it was all about the great music, but now it's easy to understand what the story of this episode was really about.
I thought Keith's treatment, at the end, of the "knockout" girl was just great. It's what she deserved for acting like an ice princess.
Hi U are so right! I loved this show as a young child but i had a crazy crush on David loved all the music my mother took me in 72 to his concert and i was beyond excited. Now when i watch the videos or i did buy the dvds i look at it totally different. It was a great comedy show very well written and acted Danny &Rueben were great the chemistry they had together made every episode funny u didnt get some of the jokes when your a kid and Shirley was great and each show had a lesson to learn!
David Cassidy was Huge during this era he used to perform live concerts in stadiums across the country on the weekends and tape the Partridge Family during the week he was on the cover of every teen magizine for several years straight but working everyday for several years straight brought a premature in to the PF
the episode was about a plain girl who had a crush on Keith who eventually decided to be nice to her eventhough Keith mainly dated cute girls you know looking beyond the shallow a lesson you obviously have yet to learn
@Jopy98 And he was hot. That was a plus. No, but he was a terrific singer, and does have a lot to proud of. I saw an interview of his where he said he didn't even want to do the show.
Very well put together video. I have a lot of these shows on VHS taped from Baltimore in 1981 and that end of the song on stage was the episode where Danny got his feet tangled and made a fool of the family. Awesome!!
...and a bit more trivia - the single (mono) version does not contain the 'ahh ahh's' in the chorus, their only on the STEREO album version, as is heard here in this great vid!
...and even more trivia - the first pressing of the single (Bell 910) is rare and more valuable than the second and third pressings. How to tell the difference?
Third pressing: number 910X, group name THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY; second pressing: number 910, group name THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY; the rare first pressing: number 910, group name THE PATRIDGE FAMILY. I have American second and third pressings of this as well as the Japanese version (sung in English) and picture sleeves.
