Seriouscakes- thanks for the compliment :) I know you are a cake guru and i am embarrassed to even say this, but if you EVER want me to make you anything, just let me know. i know you don't do fondant, so i figured if you want any figure that i can make, it's the least i can do to thank you for teaching me to make cakes :)

These are so cute Mayen! Sesame Street Babies was my daughter's first birthday theme. I didn't know how to decorate cakes back then, and I used the Sesame Street Babies Figure candles as cake toppers! Wawa. hahaha Lucky Dizzy!!!

Oh.....my.....goodness!! I love your baby big bird. I absolutely love baby big bird. I am not a big fan of the other two, to be honest. And that made me slightly sad, what you said about elmo being sold and the other two are left behind. Reminded me of an orphanage. Random question: Is it wrong to sand down a gum paste or fondant figure? Is that something you SHOULDN'T do?

Nope, havent gotten any serious offers for it. I got a couple funny offers -- so id rather see them go to a friend. And of course you don't have to use them on a cake. These babies will last years as long as they are kept in a dry place.

Mayen your figures are so adorable. It sucks that they cancelled on you. Im sure you will be able to sell the figures. Next time get a deposit. I ask for deposits not only because I buy the supplies before hand but because when you take the order you are reserving that day for them. So that way you don't lose out on so much because your cakes are amazing.

OH MY GOSH! Those are so adorable! I can't imagine those are actually made of something edible. The safety pins are so small and it's amazing that you can actually make all those details with gumpaste. I'll have to say that cookie monster is my favorite, I love the crumbs on his face and his cute little bib. I also love the anchor--I like how you wrapped the rope around it, it gave it a lot of character. The candle holder is very nice as well--very innovative!

Thanks Rylan -- the metal part on the safety pins-- are the only things NOT gumpaste ...forgot to metion that. those are craft wires ...it was so difficult to make them from gumpaste that small

Oh Mayen, such sweet little figures. Totally hugable! I wont make an offer but you understand, being down in Australia, I fear they wouldnt make the trip he he. They're adorable though and Im glad you showed us. I hope you take a deposit and so got some moeny, even if not all of it. I've started taking 50% deposit, which people are happy to pay. If the cancel, they lose their 50% and they understand that.

It is really so aggravating. Two weeks ago, i called the father of the cake (FREE!!) the day of the delivery that I was on my way to meeting place. He forgot!! only 25 minutes ago??? i waited 1 1/2 hours then finally called him again at Walmart public phone, He said he forgot..cmon..it was a free cake that he requested for his daughter..by the way,,,those figures are so cuteeeeeee!!

Yes, I agree. You have to take 50% or some kind of deposit. People tend to stay committed once they put some of their own money into something. They don't understand the amount of work and money you put into it yourself.
