I think that if anything at all happens, the most believable would be the magnetic poles would switch. It happens once and a while, and nothing happens. But that could happen any day of the year. Also people say the war of the worlds shit won't happen again. Unfortunately the world is dumber than it was back then. People are much more gullible than in 1939(i think).
Yeah, I don't think there'll be a full-on War of the Worlds panic, because this isn't as sudden as that. People have been talking about the Mayan long-count calendar for a long time. But there are LOADS of people who think the world is actually going to end. Booksellers are making a killing off of peoples' gullibility. People are getting depressed, some are probably giving up on stuff because they think they won't have time to finish it. It's just so wrong.
I couldn't agree with you more, I bet someone just came up with this idea one day and other people began to play off of it...I've seen 2 hour long T.V. shows DEDICATED to 2012. Then people start mixing this with stuff it says in the bible, etc., etc...it's just all so STUPID. I can't believe what people will believe o_O
