My parents have a home very near the resort and walk/drive to the beach everyday during the summer. It is beautiful, we hope to get a chance to visit sometime this summer.
Since learning about the poisoning 2 days ago and the news spreading via email & internet, dozens of emails have been sent to various departments/offices of the resort, which came as a great surprise and shock to them, but now they at least know that such reports are not read & forgotten, but are acted upon.

Although the directors of the resort have taken the matter seriously, it's worth reminding them that we expect them to ensure that such an atrocity will never again happen. The resort is supposed to be patrolled by guards even during the winter months and one would expect that any suspicious activities (somebody going around spreading poisoned bait) would have been noted and acted on.
