  • the religious right are simply con men...

  • I always enjoy hearing Kent Hovind....whenever I am down in the dumps I find one of his debates and laugh and laugh and laugh....

  • Creationists can only pick on abiogenesis + the argument that 'oh evolution is only a theory, not a fact". That's all they have to go on with, nothing more. That's not science. That's just a person bitching about stuff his mind can't cope with. If you want to criticize evolution, you need to come up with scientific arguments, provide counter evidence. and btw, lack of evidence is not itself a counter evidence.

  • So does that mean there is evidence we came from a rock or a pool of slim? Cause I would like to see this happen for real!!!

  • Kent Hovind you obviously never paid any of your taxes, so WHAT ARE YOU BITCHING ABOUT!! You never paid for one petri dish at any public funded school not one roll of toiet paper and you are HIGH if you think educated americans are going to let you teach your bullshit religion in our schools!!!!!! Remember KITZMILLER VS DOVER. How did you pass any class in school???

  • Can you re-name this three part call as "Martin argues with a rock"?

  • Or simply google 'Elysia chlorotica'

  • @wordslingerbrookslik Interesting little creature.

  • I believe an animal that contains chlorophyll would 'prove' evolution.

    If you visit wired.com/wiredscience/2010/01/green-sea-slug/

You'll find a sea slug that makes chlorophyll.

  • ROFL i have faith that he'll get smashed up in his *** in prison:)

    CHO MO!!!

  • "if someone believes a platypus and a dragon fly have a common ancestor thats ok, but i dont wanna pay for that." he was so serious he went to jail for his beliefs. now thats dedication. LOLZ.

  • Hahaha, right until the very end he brought up an inanimate object to disprove common ancestry with similarities.

  • you know all kent is doing in prison right now is thinking up new arguments

  • ok martin definetly owned kent.but how can we not believe in god when theres so much proof of devil worshippers in the white house and other government officials around the world.illuminati is definetly real and if u check thier agenda they all hail satan.remember these are the people that control everything.and i dont think that these people in such high power would worship something that doesnt exsist.people who find god find peace and want peace.are u a person who hates on peace?

  • @one4jayjay There is no evidence of the illuminati or the devil. If you apply scientific rigour to your investigation of these claims, you fill find that there is absolutely no substance. Conjecture is not evidence. Your belief in the illuminati makes as much sense as believing in creationism. On that point, you are arguing from the same position as Kent Hovind in that video. That's got to tell you something.

  • @blehblehbleh86 if you look at the timeline of the bible you will see that hell was added AFTER the bible was origionally written. the catholic church added hell to the bible to scare people into believing in christianity. thats how christianity got to be such a large relegion. It scared people into believing something they dont understand.

the catholic church also added "original sin" and "the virgin birth" to the bible after it was origionally written.

  • @blehblehbleh86

The illuminati did exist - their contributions to human progress are well documented. They were progressive enlightenment thinkers who met and operated under absolutist regimes - they had no choice but to meet in secret - not to do so was to risk execution. They played a vital part in liberating mankind from absolute monarchy and feudalism. They were heroes. There is no evidence for the existence of the "illuminati" one4jayjay and his fellow conspiraloons believe in however.

  • The worst thing is Hovind has legions of retarded "fans" who are ignorant enough to believe he is a real doctor and is right when he says T.rex ate pumpkins...

The fact that Hovind is in jail on 25 counts of tax fraud is dismissed by his groupies who say he's being victimized and martyred by the Atheist Nazi Evolution Cartel.

  • Kent Hovind: dumbest, most ignorant man alive? you be the judge.

  • when hovind talks i am tempted to face palm but if i did it would knock me into another universe because of how ignorant he is

  • My favorite part out of all this was in the first video, the fact that bridges don't evolve from spider webs was proof that something designed the world. How can that be your argument when he is bringing TONS of facts and evidence and experience and you just compare something living to something CREATED BY MAN.

  • ameoba have way less complex dna, and the amount more they have is still less complex in total. it's called "efficiency" The rambling after he left was absolutely selfish. thumbs up if you agree?

  • ameoba have way less complex dna, and the amount more they have is still less complex in total. it's called "efficiency" The rambling after he left was absolutely selfish.

  • ameoba have way less complex dna, and the amount more they have is still less complex in total. it's called "efficiency"

  • 00:37 Martin "thers your answer" Kent "thers my answer?????????????" Kent is like "this punk is not supposed to answer that"

  • Euglena is a genus of unicellular protists, of the class Euglenoidea of the phylum Euglenozoa (also known as Euglenophyta). They are single-celled organisms. Currently, over 1,000 species of Euglena have been described.

  • Small note: Euglena is a protist that can both eat food as animals by heterotrophy; and can photosynthesize, like plants, by autotrophy. When acting as a heterotroph, the Euglena surrounds a particle of food and consumes it by phagocytosis. When acting as an autotroph, the Euglena utilizes chloroplasts,

  • How does evolution explain the existence of creationists? gotcha there!

  • how could any body take Kent seriously? AHHHH

  • There was a recent discovery of an animal that can use the chlorophyll it gains from eating algae for photosynthesis. It cannot produce it's own but it is an interesting find. The animal is the green sea slug.

  • So is it a religion to encounter a murder scene and find overwhelming evidence that David Haselhoff was the killer. There is a video of him doing it, there is DNA evidence, and also there are hundreds of witnesses. Would it be a religous faith based belief to conclude that David Haselhoff was infact the killer?

How is evaluating and understanding the evidence for evolution a faith based decision? Its more an obligate condition imposed on me by my knowledge of the evidence.

  • lets not block Creatards from posting on here, i want a good laugh but its hard to see whats goin on in the comments section when it looks like a guy is arguing with himself :]

  • @Loehrer18 I never block anyone.I also like to check this vid every blue moon for the lolzs

  • I like how they dragged out a hundred fallacious arguments after Martin hung up.

  • what a stupid cunt LOL

  • I want to shake that kids hand. kents an idiot

  • Kent Hovind violates common sense ...

  • I've never heard such bullshit. Hearing Kent is like listening to a stubborn child.

  • non dogs? what the FUCK! didn't he get it! damn!

  • I like how he say "I don't want to pay for that to be taught in our schools" it's funny because he's in jail for not paying his taxes. See ya in 2015 Kent, you fucktard

  • :]] LOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha, well done Martin.

I LOVE how both those loons never ONCE pronounced "bilaterally symmetrical" right, even after several tries:D

  • The theist messed up early on by not just leaving it at 1st cause - which would have made them a diest and more grounded and flexible. But because guys like Kent chose (poorly) to go the theist route and are held to a burning bush, talking snake, apple, etc... they get majorly pwned like in this segment.

  • wow, this guy totally pwned him.

  • This video is a sad instance of internet usage. Anyone can see that Martin used examples that he bombed Hovind for using, and the captions came in when Hovind had to shift gears to try and catch him up to the point at hand. Clearly this Martin was in over his head. And whoever posted this video is a complete retard, simply trying to make Martin look better than he was. If Martin is as smart and brilliant as you claim,.. why did he need your captions?... Get a hobby!

  • @erik2u

um... do you not understand, hovind was trying to prove common designer by using something that couldnt have common ancestry. Martin was using it for a totally different point that had nothing to do with ancestry of life..

"If Martin is as smart and brilliant as you claim,.. why did he need your captions?... Get a hobby! ""

The captions are for idiots like you that don't understand evolution.

  • @erik2u

"Martin used examples that he bombed Hovind for using"

    Like what? Please elaborate.

"Clearly this Martin was in over his head"

He wasn't, he answered everything Hovind threw at him and the reason Hovind kept on chainging the subject was because HE was the one in over his head.

And there were captions so dyed in the wool creationists like you (I presume) could see how badly Hovind was getting owned.

  • I came across a debate between a Dr. Hovind and a Dr. Paulson. Hovind made a strong case if you filter out the christian dogma and rhetoric. The logic was sound and didn't get speculative. I was curious about this video & decided to check it out. I'm saddened by the vitriol as there is an equal amount of nonsense within each school of thought. People just can't seem get past the reality that "evolution" is a theory and "creationism" is in part someone's take on the Bible.

  • i want to meet martin i would give this guy 1000$ for pwning hovind so hard

  • @crazygeek777 you should just give $1000 to the government for puttin him in the slammer

  • Kent Hovind is painfully ignorant. And to think he raised his kids to believe this shit. Thus he continues the chain of ignorance. It should be a crime.

  • Hovind isn't ignorant. He's wrong and he knows he's wrong. He's a con artist plain and simple.

  • Canadians rock at crushing creationists imo.

  • go canada

  • I suppose a fungal infection on someone's foot is evidence we evolved from fungi :D

The caller really does have to show the first dog that lived after its common ancestor with whatever. Evolutionists use fuzzy logic and try to blind us with science, but it all boils down to this.

According to evolution, there *must have been a crossover point where the common ancestor was not a dog.

And for all the millions of years, where are the fossils to show the gradual painfully slow transitions?

  • Dogs evolved from wolves. And wolves are non dogs.

    Yet another creatard fails.

  • @LaingGod

Yeah, but Kent didn't sathe were the same, he said they had a common ancestor. Just like cats and lions. Catisch animals evolved from a common ancestor just like dogs and wolves.......

  • An ameoba has more DNA than humans simply because more is needed for the functions it has to carry out. A tiny mobile phone is more complicated than a transistor radio-and it's ok to use a non-living analogy because animals are mechanical too :)

  • on bacteria.. what they do? they eat and destroy other organisms to survive correct? and they multiply.. dont we do the same?? you Do know there are microscopic animals right?? and why do we have tailbones? hair on random places on our body? are our feet really feet or were they hands? why do males have nipples? look those questions up please before you side with kent hovind

  • Your so-called 'tailbone' helps us perform a very vital bodily function ahem..

But if we look and smell a bit like an ape, it's because we've become like one from something that happened to us genetically and spiritually. What did that 'fruit of the tree of knowledge' do to us I wonder..?

Why do men have nipples? Maybe it's so we can make them into breasts if we need a sex-change ;)

  • wooow nevermind.. im sorry I even replied to your comments. keep believing the world is 6,000 years old..wooow

  • men have nipples possible because men used to be able to produce milk. we see this even today, during puberty, young men can indeed lactate, it happens all the time.

smell and spirituality have nothing to do with evolution.

  • yeah i know lol

there was this guy who started having breast secretions after his hormones went 'up the creek'. men can become feminine because of a feminine nature implanted in them by their mothers when growing up.

the spirit in a person makes things happen in the body

  • 'Your so-called 'tailbone' helps us perform a very vital bodily function ahem..'

I know I'm probably a little late to respond to this, but I just want to point that our 'so-called tailbone' is really a tailbone. We know this because some people are actually born with atavistic tails. They can be up to a foot long and typically come complete with muscles, blood vessels and nerves. Some of them can even wiggle. I'd like to see Hovind explain that.

  • I would like to see YOU explain it!!! If we have these TAILbones, why do we not have them now? Why dont my kids have them?.. Why do people always assume that people back in the day, could do something and have things that we cant do or dont have?.. I know why: Its because in order to believe it, it has to start with; Once apon a time, and long ago, in a far off land!!.. please open a science book!

  • 'I would like to see YOU explain it!!! If we have these TAILbones, why do we not have them now?'

I did say some people, not all. I should made it clearer. We all have tail bones, but actual tails that stick out are very rare. Still it does happen (yes, today) and I don't see how creationists can explain it.

  • Listen, there is no need to explain it! Like you said: "it is very rare" that means that it is an abnormality, not an evolution. Again, if someone has a birth defect, it does not mean they decended from anything.. and to say tailbones are evidence of a common ancestor is dumb.

  • Why do we assume that monkey's could do something in history that they cannot do today? And what are WE evolving into today? and why are monkeys not extinct now, if they were just a part of an evolutionary process?

  • @erik2u you obviously dont understand evolution... she is saying that the tailbone is there, and just used the ones that stick out as evidence...

and we didnt come from monkeys,,,, why would they be extinct when humans and monkeys came from the same organism.

  • erik2u, you do not understand evolution. It is a branching pattern, we are NOT descendants of monkey's. We share a common ancestor with monkey's. This is important, evolution does not make a father-son pattern where one comes from the other, but a cousin-cousin pattern, where species share a common ancestor. Just like you share a common ancestor (your grandmother+grandfather) with your own cousins.

  • saying that humans came from monkeys is like saying that you came from your cousin.

Well, in your case you probably did.

  • Have you seen my cousin? She is HOTT! I keep aking her, but she won't!..

  • @erik2u that explains why you're so retarded.

  • @erik2u i know im replying to a year old comment but fuuuughk... your retarded. have you learned anything whatsoever in the year? Evolution is a fact, like the theory of gravity.... plz educate yourself to some degree. It"s awfully horrendous to think people like you are in communities, ahhh!

  • Then explain why there are people born with fully functional tails?

  • (atheistChic) And to say it wiggles is so funny! why dont we meet up and i will scratch behind your ear and watch you wiggle your tailbone!,... Are you retarded? Does your counselor know you are surfing the web?.. Athiest are so funny, They say; I KNOW there is not a God! Tell me how you can prove the NONexsistance of something!! That is assuming that you are present at all places at all times!.. you should say i dont understand!

  • And (athiestChic) maybe some people are born with some defect or abnormality, but that is crazy to say it proves evolution! If thats the case, does being born with an extra finger mean i came from an octupus? You might want to go to a coffee shop and start a discussion group with the VAST minority that believes what you believe... YES the majority believes that God created the earth.

  • @erik2u

um...the majority of the public, well, they are dumb compared to the scientists, where 99% believe in evolution... + their iq is much higher...so, wouldnt it be obvious that they are right.

I think you need to stay off the internet with your stupid and ignorant comments.

  • really! So you are saying that most of Americans stupid? But the people who agree with your point of view are smart? Do you not remember that it was the scientist who told us the earth was flat and if we travel far enough we would fall off!.. But please dont let me insult them!

  • @erik2u -yes, i am.

-people who agree with the fact-supported theory are smarter imo.

-yes, but at least science can change when new evidence is provided, religion can't

  • No, it was the dumbass CHUCH who said that the earth was flat. There were no scientists back in those days.

  • Scientists is just a modern term , There were scientists the day man played with fire =D , please save us from your baseless assumptions =)

  • No you moron! It was Washington Irving.

  • @erik2u Actually Eric if you would watch shows like " Are you smarter than a fifth grader " you might draw that assumption but Americans are widely influenced by religious dogma. Said dogma is closed and does not change in response to new evidence. The point is this, when those scientists said the earth was flat and that we would fall off it they were simply using an inccorrect theory, over the years this theory has been disproved and then modified to fit current data (pt1)

  • @erik2u The funny thing is, is that the old theory about the flatness of the planet was kept in belief mainly by the catholic church, the mantra of which could be read as Knowledge is power, control the knowledge and you control the power. This is the folly of confusing Science with Faith

  • @erik2u one-million idiots hoping in something, has NO bearing on what 99% of the educated scientists has to prove as a SOLID scientific FACT! might as well say alotta retards told me gravity actually isn;t there so hmm. jeez really, just talk to a 9th grader about this, i'm sure your atmost twelve years old.

  • @erik2u :

"" I KNOW there is not a God! Tell me how you can prove the NONexsistance of something!! ""

The burden of proof is NOT ON US... You make a crazy and delusional claim, so you have to prove it, AND, you can't.

"absense of evidence IS evidence of absense..

  • wtf does atheism have to do with evolution an biology?

  • @atheistChic This 'tail' is a mutation, an error like pincer feet. It has no vertebrae; only blood vessels.

I'm talking about our coccynx! It's there for a reason!

  • Looks like god designed you with a small brain.

  • @LaingGod Or maybe you.......?

  • Another interesting thing to point out about us, why does our hair not cover more of our body for warmth, how come it's scattered like it means nothing?

  • it could b a lot of things, maybe 1 of our female ape-like ancestors was more attracted to the visible muscle definition of a somewhat hairless body so that hairless ancestor reproduced and that became the dominant phenotype for our species. another way is to think like this; hair, like feathers and scales, is very taxing to our bodies to produce, so maybe during the developmental stage, one of our ancestors took that energy used to cover our body with hair, and put it towards a bigger brain.

  • or it could be that we got less hairy as we started wearing clothes.

  • i'd say the opposite, that we started wearing clothes as a result of being less hairy

  • also, if you look carefully at birds, where their feathers come out of youll notice that they only produce feathers on 40-60% of their bodies, the rest is skin

  • Indeed, I was going to use monkeys as my next example, but birds work just as well.

Sigh... I really do feel sorry for uneducated creationist, it break's my heart, almost.

  • because we have clothes that we use instead for warmth. if we no longer need something, it will begin to dissapear in order to make it easier to stay alive. i.e. if you dont need hair to stay warm, why waste energy growing it? the same thing has happened with the appendix, our food is digested easier now than thousands of years ago so it becomes smaller and smaller.

  • Exactly, creationist simply ignore all of these logical explanations.

  • yes that seems to be what most of them do. the fact that we have vestigial structures and hair only on certain parts of the body are proof of evolution. some creationist (a certain asshole on this radio show for example) choose to instead use trickery to try and disprove evolution instead of ignoring it. im pretty sure i have heard him say dinosaurs lived 4k years ago and we killed them off.

  • Sigh... It... It really make's me sad.. My mom's a christian, and she actually cried over me when she found out I was agnostic.

  • 100% logic goes into the right ear of a creationist. 0,3% make it out the left one.

  • love the name!

  • Me too! lol.

  • I liked this but the captions you put in were too biased, it was kind of annoying. But man Kent got fukken pwned

  • Totally PWNED! Lol, most of the time they didn't even understand what Martin was talking about!

    Beautiful! :)

  • watch?v=tnb_pmRDpqU

This is even more of a pwnage video of hovind.

  • Its pretty clear Hovind knows absolutely nothing about the subject at hand, I mean he couldn't even comprehend simple genomics and principles of junk DNA. That lack of understanding coupled with his sheer ignorance makes rubbish of his whole debate. I find creationists like this painful to listen to and frustrating to argue with because they're just so damn ignorant and blind.

  • "I consider this actually an incredible victory for me"

I cannot stop pissing myself laughing from that. Awesome, just awesome.

  • The guy is smoothly slithering his way out of all Kent's arguments. He's the sort of person who makes straight faced excuses when confronted with the truth. Kent is playing it straight but this guy has contradicted himself so many times, then *acts like he's won when he's really lost.

  • and you fail

  • Just say I fail and you've won the argument-brilliant!

  • Thank you.

  • won in your own mind, now that's funny :D :D

  • You lost

  • you're doing it again :/

is that what you do..tell people how it is?

  • irony fail.

  • you're like a broken record

  • you still lose

  • this is retarded. you'll have to explain why (((yawn)))

  • You are retarded

  • Just like someone who's lost an argument from the evolutionist camp, you resort to insults when you can't use logic. Time for me to say by-ee.

  • I'm a gravitist

  • He "resents paying for that to be taught in the school system"? WoW, Kent is concerned about how his taxes are being spent!

    Wait...

  • "wheels are related to starfish" its bollocks talk like this that makes us laugh at you hovind. he is blind to logic, truth and intelligence.

  • Martin admitted to never having seen a dog produce a non-dog yet claims that a "common ancestor" that's not a dog could produce a dog, so Martin fails, not only does Martin fail, but epically so for the sheer contradiction of his statement

  • P.S. Just because something is a mammal does not change the fact that they still produce after their kind, a dog will always produce a dog, a mountain lion will never produce a dog, you cannot breed a mountain lion and a dog while they're both mammals they are genetically different kinds of animals so the "common ancestor" argument falls apart because if they were the same kind of animal they could mate for viable offspring (example a cat can only be mated with a cat)

  • Eventually dogs may give rise to non-dogs. Perhaps after tens of thousands of years. It's hard to imagine that poodles and great danes will not become nonmutually reproducing and genetically different to be separate species, for example. It's fairly easy to see species variation in fossil lineages. The horse branch and even the human one are rather clear. Human's are more closely genetically related to chimps than chimps are to orangutans. Blows the mind.

  • farmers actually COUNT ON the fact that when corn is planted, they'll get corn, why would something be able to do something "millions of years ago" that we NEVER see happen today? A variation is not evidence of evolution in the least, there are many variants in the color, size, shape of an animal, but it ALWAYS produces the same kind of animal, I could well argue that the similarities we see in animals is from the fact that they have the same maker. God always used DNA to make living things

  • The corn planted today is an evolved version of older maize.

  • It's a selected version. Man has selected it through cross-breeding in a non-random way.

  • and why does the caller have to show the dog evolution? if kent hovind studied biology as well as you, would know what it evolved from. Or maybe look online on national geographic to check it out.

I suppose a fungal infection on someone's foot is evidence we evolved from fungi :D????? look up your questions online. do you even know what fungi is?? I have a question for you, im going to compare us to bacteria ready?

  • Redbeardian, Agreed. I hate this whole dog having non-dog offspring argument. It hasn't happened YET is all we need to know. We KNOW species can produce something other than its' own species. People with downsyndrome, for example, have 47 chromosomes and are, by definition, not homosapien (46 chromosomes). There you have it HUMANS giving birth to non-HUMANS. I really don't see whats being argued... Glad Hovind is incacerated. That fradulent, ignorant prick,

  • I think If we manage to breed 2 species to dogs to differenciate them the the point they could not interbreed (ie are different species) we would blow creationism out of the park

  • thats not even necessary, hovind knows this point proves nothing and isnt an argument against evolution. but he spouts it every single time. "no one ever saw a dog produce a none dog, so it didnt happen" guess what kent, no one ever saw lazarus rise from the dead, or jesus...or a world wide flood....or anything in the bible!!!!

  • that is a MAGNIFICENT example!

  • Comment removed

  • "Evolutionist will always be doing the classification.." except Linnaeus he was a Creationist, wasn't he?

    Hovind Fail

  • Nimnoms FTW!

  • Kids loves to say I owned that guy. Stupidity owned you anyway and your fraud evolution.

  • Hovind is such a dipshit. 'Bluh bluh, do you believe in evolution because you believe it, or because you don't want to change your lifestyle?'

Well Kenny, he sure as hell ain't going to send you any money, which is the lifestyle change I assume you want.

  • Is it wrong that as a straight man I want to have Martin's babies?

  • Not at all.

  • ye i'm sure every scientist is part of the giant atheist conspiracy, right?

  • ??

and your imaginary friend is more credible? evolution doesn't try to explain everything. Your imaginary friend attempts to prove everything without evidence.

  • kent says: " I dont want to pay to have that tought in the school system".. He never did pay hence the fact hes in prison

  • Martin DESTROYED Kent Hovind. Maybe Kent could of had a better debate if he was focusing on using facts, instead of focusing on how to evade taxes.

  • Maybe Kent Hovind could have had a better debate if he:

    A) Listened to what Martin was saying

    B) Read "The Big Book Of Evolution for Beginners"

    C) Dropped his "I can't understand therefore it can't be true" approach

    D) Stopped talking. He has nothing to say. He obviously has not read a single book on evolution, or maybe the one he read had big words.

  • The only book Hovind has ever read was the bible.

  • @LaingGod Rubbish. He's read many a science book.

  • The Bible is not a science book. Fucking dumb creatard

  • and you sir, are blind!

  • says the guy who says "stupit"

    'nuff said.

  • I'm sorry, I truly am...I meant to say estupido.. would you forgive me :( .. ok! " 'nuff said." oh no wait ENOUGH SAID

  • I love how kent starts talking after he hung up, when no one can fight back he makes points that he knows would easily be refuted.

  • This is laughable. Dogs don't produce non-dogs therefore God exists WTF!

I got as far as high school Biology yet even I can see that this is not how evolution works. If left in isolation, dogs may eventually mutate over many generations into something that we today wouldn't recognize as a dog.

The Miacis over millions of years evolved into the Fox, Hyenena and Wolf and other canines with the domestic Dog subspecies arriving between 15,000 - 35,000 years ago.

  • the idea that he calls it a "dog" is a vast oversimplification. hes always looking for a point where a dog will just pop out of a wolf. its ridiculous

  • Omg why cant kent hovind just loose and shut up, he always has to talk shit

  • "Evolution also contradicts the 2nd law of thermodynamics."

That law applies to isolated systems. How is a living organism isolated?

  • Thousands of mutations have been observed. They are as simple as a mutation causing the coat of an animal to be white instead of grey or brown, and that white coat helps the animal hide in the snow. The white mutation occurs all of the time and can be tested and DNA proven. Beneficial vs. Harmful is judged by the environment. A white coat is a harmful mutation in most environments, but is beneficial near the poles. The polar bear's white coat is a beneficial mutation.

  • What about for certain areas of Africa where every single day 1 in 3 children are born with AIDS and live for a small number of years in constant pain? Where is the divine purpose in that?

  • Give him a bit of money as well I heard he could do with it!!! LOL...

  • Evolution is a historical, forensic science. It is evidence based, and more evidence trickles in on a daily basis.

It is further strengthened by independent lines of evidence from various scientific disciplines.

Unfortunately for the ardent theist (like Hovind and his ilk), this directly contradicts the first chapter of the Bible.

Those who reject evolution also often do so because they don't understand it in any depth. One should understand a concept before rejecting it.

  • im not a fan of the bible either

  • Only reason why this debate goes on so long is because its the age old question god or no god.. evolution theory is all they have to support it and there gonna stick with it till they die... once evolution can be proven without a shadow of a doubt then we may dismiss god..but they havnt yet its just theories..this not science its a belief... please stop confusing evolution with adaptaion ... god 1 evolution 0

  • Put down your scorecard and read up on what a scientific theory actually is. Science gathers up the facts: fossils, geographic distribution of species, genetic information, order of species in the rock strata (always found with more primitve animals the older the rock layer), and then develops a theory that best explains the facts. As soon as data is gathered that contradicts the theory, it gets discarded. It's still king of the hill after 150 years. If you have proof to unseat it, bring it.

  • what if i could get god to come down and show the world who god is ...what would that mean for all the "evidence" you thought proved evolution .. it would be discarded would it not? and if it can easily be discarded like this then doesn it sound more like a belief then a science?

  • Wrong. Please, convince God to come down and show himself. If he showed up over New York harbour and waved to the cameras, I'd happily believe. He showed himself regularly in the Bible, but, strange, he seems to have gotten out of the habit now.

It's not "easily" discarded. It's discarded when and if better information is uncovered, or as in evolution's case, the new info supports the existing theory. Happens all the time. When you have all the facts, that produces accuracy.

  • heh and if you can make me a half man half lion half gorilla i will happily belive... or actually make me life outta nothing but gas and a spark :) i'd also belive or perhaps you can explain how biomechanical organisms can operate without having all its parts ... even if one part is missing it will fail to work will it not? how can evolution slowly put that together if it needs all the parts to work! evolution just doesnt hold water.. and yea i'll try nd get that msg to god :p
