no ZZ motor came factory with a supercharger. trd sold one that was optional and a ton of money and that was for the eco 1.8 and not this high-reving one.

The early GT models had the same 1.8 as the Toyota Celica GTS. 180 horse power with a 6 speed manual. 0 to 60 in 7.6 seconds, Doubtful a Sierra is that fast to 60. Its top speed is around 130

2005 is my guess. Has the newer style gauges. The older ones were all pontiac orange. The Vibe GT's used to be powered by the now discontinued 2GG-ZE motor. Compression ratio was too high to turbo-charge(12.5/1) but they were fun to drive even stock. I mean, just listen to this video again!

the 2zz isnt discontinued. lotus still uses for the elise/exige. toyota just doesnt sell it in any of their cars

The original GT had a high-revving Yamaha built 1.8l iter I-4, a version of which powers the lotus elise. Its output was 180 HP but dropped to 170 and 164 in subsequent years. The 2009 Vibe GT has a torquier (but lower revving)2.4 liter toyota engine from the Camry with 158 hp.

i love vibes they r so sick , this 1 sounds like auto but u cant buy gt in auto, my dad has reg vibe and its crazy(standard) a GM 1500 pulled up beside us and tried to over take in a cut off lane and he had no chance my dad killed em and plus we were carring a trailer wit nuttin in it

Something wasn't quite right. For some reason the block struggled to surpass 8k RPM's. Also, I believe this GT does not carry the 180hp block I think its the 170 hp block. I am saying this because of the instrument cluster. I usually see those clusters in the 170 hp blocks. Lastly, I may have missed it but i didn't quite notice the lift.

this car has the 170hp motor in it. The reason i can tell is because of the white gauges. That means its an '05 or up. And i believe in 2005 they downgraded the GT engine to 170. So this could very well be a 2005 GT. And to Dezz.....how can you not notice the lift? It fuckin screams in this video.

Here's all the vibes basically:

base Vibe: 125 horsepower, 120 ft/lb torque

awd Vibe: same as base, except heavier

gt Vibe: 180 horsepower, 130 ft/lb torque

Even though the gt has an unusually low torque rating, i'd take it any goddamn day of the year. I just have a base vibe. I've upgraded it to 140 horsepower, and about 135 ft/lb of torque. Beats a modern celica gt.

hmm. must be toyota's VVTL-i engine. very nice. and to hinky, if im not mistaken, its got around 180 hp. vey nice sound when you hit the lift.
