I don't get why they criticize an anime game saying "People who don't watch the show won't get it" well the only people that will buy the game are people that watch the show! why would u buy a game based off a show u never watched?

They rated and praised this game higher than Ultimate Tenkaichi... and they both share the same 'shallow combat'. But ofcourse, in this case, that only gets mentioned once while in DBZ: UT it gets repeated over and over and over.

Playing with a friend seems 'unsatisfying?' I just had a party and we all sat around playing this game all night and everyone was on their feet, screaming, and had a good time watching their friends beating eachother up in this KICK-ASS game.
@Daimen555 i have this game and the adventure mode is really good. online is still active but as its a bit late on, most players are very skilled and there are a few rage quitters
the game looks about 3 times better than the anime, since the game , boast detail the anime lacks and has made the scenes better with more intense Quick time Events
Great review, you where right on the money about this game, it took me exactly 30min to get in my car and return it back. Great graphics but what a sucky gameplay it was made for a 9yr old. Pressing just one key for fighting gets old in 10min.
Gawd, I agree with this review 100%. I bought this game and almost wanted to return it because it felt like all I did was run from place to place and hear a bunch of talking and the loading time is insane. But once you get into the story you look over it so... thankfully I still have the game. XD I love the quick-time battle scenes.
@xcvb2003 the running wouldn't be that boring if they included an rpg mode where you could face i don't know... rogue ninjas or other kind of enemies. basically, they should add the classic 1 aganist 10 or 20 at the same time, a little like dynasty warriors if you wish.
It's ninja storm 2!! It means that they base that people have played number 1 before 2 but you don't have to sway from purchasing it just cause you don't understand it. I have mortal kombat 9 and i have absolutely no idea what is happening during story mode but i played the whole thing and enjoyed it. The main reason anyway is that Versus mode is AWESOME. The feeling of kicking the ass of the friends you invite to your house is just pure AWESOMENESS.

It frusterates me that no reviewer is a fan of the series, and because of this they always get confused (and cannot seem to ever pronounce the names of the characters properly). I absolutely loved the ultimate adventure part, because I know the characters. Someone needs to review the game who keeps up with the manga/anime.

Im very confused on why this game has gotten a bad rating from IGN AND GameSpot.. This is an AMAZING game! My cousin didnt even know what Naruto was, but he played this game for hours last time he was at my house. Ive had this game and my PS3 for about 3-4 months now, and Storm 2 is the only game I have. Im VERY sastisfied with this game, hence I havent wanted another game for this long, even though I finished Adventure Mode in 2 days. This game deserves atleast a 9/10. C'mon!!
I don't like this reviewer. Even though I'm not a super fan of the show, I can see its merits from this game. Just because the controls are simpler doesn't make this any less strategic. It just leaves more room for bigger strategies, hence without the annoying obstacle of confusing button combos. The commentator is just more used to traditional fighting games where you need a whole bunch of complicated button combos to feel superior. All he's got are biased opinions that deserve to be ignored.
Hes wrong there are lots of tactics in the online gameplay and there is a whole ranking system with tons of ranks. Like this comment so ppl wont get the wrong idea and not buy the game.

What annoys me the most about non-anime fans is the fact they pronounce EVERYTHING wrong when they review animes and their respective games. The most frequent mistake is saying "Naroodo"... It doesn't take rocket science to figure out how Japanese syllables and vowels are sounded out. You don't see people calling Sasuke, "Sahsoohkey", so why is it so hard to say "Nahr-rooh-toh"...? Same thing with Shippuden. "Shee-pooh-den" not "Ship-pooh-den"...

-Perfect- for the way the game is layed out. And to keep going on about the visuals? This is a fighting game. It does NOT require you to go through the story mode to unlock characters. However the load screens do cause some unwelcomeness in the hearts of players.

I think his voice is rather feminine compared to a normal, straight man vocal. In a distance between a female voice & a straight man voice, his voice is in the middle. It frusterates me that no reviewer is a fan of the series, and because of this they always get confused (and cannot seem to ever pronounce the names of the characters properly). I absolutely loved the ultimate adventure part, because I know the characters. Someone needs to review the game who keeps up with the manga/anime.

Im very confused on why this game has gotten a bad rating from IGN AND GameSpot.. This is an AMAZING game! My cousin didnt even know what Naruto was, but he played this game for hours last time he was at my house. Ive had this game and my PS3 for about 3-4 months now, and Storm 2 is the only game I have. Im VERY sastisfied with this game, hence I havent wanted another game for this long, even though I finished Adventure Mode in 2 days. This game deserves atleast a 9/10. C'mon!!

I don't like this reviewer. Even though I'm not a super fan of the show, I can see its merits from this game. Just because the controls are simpler doesn't make this any less strategic. It just leaves more room for bigger strategies, hence without the annoying obstacle of confusing button combos. The commentator is just more used to traditional fighting games where you need a whole bunch of complicated button combos to feel superior. All he's got are biased opinions that deserve to be ignored.

What annoys me the most about non-anime fans is the fact they pronounce EVERYTHING wrong when they review animes and their respective games. The most frequent mistake is saying "Naroodo"... It doesn't take rocket science to figure out how Japanese syllables and vowels are sounded out. You don't see people calling Sasuke, "Sahsoohkey", so why is it so hard to say "Nahr-rooh-toh"...? Same thing with Shippuden. "Shee-pooh-den" not "Ship-pooh-den"...

Excuse me for being abit rude, but I have to say that this guy does NOT know what hes talking about.
The english voice acting is horrid. We all know it, why lie? The combat system is
-Perfect- for the way the game is layed out. And to keep going on about the visuals? This is a fighting game. It does NOT require you to go through the story mode to unlock characters. However the load screens do cause some unwelcomeness in the hearts of players.
Congrats i just did a better review than you. 9/10

i totally agree....i recently had to start over my whole thing due to a PSN account change....its depressing with all the traveling but fun with the battles....I hope they deal with that in ultimate ninja storm 3
