  • 3:13 to 3:30 was awesome, such a seamless blend of several different styles, and all of them executed perfectly, and all with such a beautiful tone

  • had me jaw dropped before he played a note.....ppl with this kind of talent must feel so good inside :)

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • 5:40 Where's lucille? haha

  • This song is about his best friends mother Shirley.

  • Who is he singing about?

  • @joelg125 the song is written by Mike Himelstein. Ask him.

  • Very nice.

  • I dedicate this song to my Ma who I lost to cancer in 1969. Thanks Joe.

  • @MrBluesrules I hear you man, I lost my mom to cancer aswell in 1998. I cried like a baby the first times I heard this song.

  • the 5 people who dislike this are now pregnant by this song

  • 5 people don't know anybody in heaven that they are going to ask around for.

  • @wick2107 SO CLEVER. NEVER SEEN A COMMENT LIKE THAT BEFORE

  • This guy waters my eyes, and starts my heart. He's the best of the best. Ain't a Blueser out there that doesn't love this guy. I mean Real Love.

  • I can see his style close to BB king,

Amazing performance, i might learn how to play it with my fellow. ^_*

  • Ray Charles Bonamassa.

  • Love the piano work Rick!

  • Ricardo on fire man!!!!

    great stuff

    Luke

  • ma da dove sei uscito Joe ? Eleganza rara e musica che arriva al cuore !

Grande, grandissima interpretazione. Blues puro, al 100%

  • Gorgeous

  • Glad to hear that Joe's vocals are catching up to his fretboard magic. He's starting to sound like a real bluesman.

  • the best

  • 3:26 Wooooooow :D

  • @terzolilu the girl or the riff? lol jk...the riff obviously. (girl aint too shabby tho am i right?)

  • @branch1234 actually I got to say, the riff is amazing! But I watch first the sweet dancin' girl :D

  • @terzolilu hahaha

  • This is a beautiful song BUT.....

Gotta admit i like the album version better, mainly cause the live solo doesnt have the same explosive energy.

The vocals live are just stunning cryable though (if that makes any sense ;) )

  • @Zipped90 go listen to the live at Royal albert Hall version. Amazing

  • Sorry to use someone elses phrase, but eargasm is the only way to describe this geezer's music. Hope BCC are as good.

  • @MrRay2130 lol hes 32...i wouldnt call him a geezer

  • Is it just me or that this song somewhat reminds "Willow Weep for me" by Stanley Turrentine and the Three sounds?

Nevertheless, a beautiful piece... definetly one of Bonamassa's best.

  • @3:25 amazing...........

  • he is flawless...

  • just LOve him........

  • Top shelf...such soul in his music and love his voice. I am 54 years old love the way he plays the blues.

  • this reminds of a Ray Charles song

  • Enjoyed this one!!! Loved the pianist equally as much as JB

  • I only just discovered this dude a few days ago, and I can't get enough....

  • very classic. I love it! Thanks for the upload. I think the piano is just awesome and that guitar just takes me away somewhere else, like New York City at night. Just beautiful.

  • not a new fan of recent music, but this guy cuts deep...nothing i can say but awesome! looking forward to hearing more from him.

  • you all gotta hear it off the dvd Live from the Royal Albert Hall. The vid that is now on youtube is not very good, and you don't get all the song.

  • Have seen JB a few times, always great!!....*****

  • my favourite seen this live at the boardwalk in sheffield love this song

  • Aaaah... great song :-)

  • such a nice song

  • amazing

  • I've been up all through the night going from video to video of Joes', and I'm calling it a night with this one. Such a beautiful song, displaying such a love for someone within his heart. I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow, I have been at it all night with Joe on these videos. Just can't get enough of this boy's blues and talent. I love to hear the crouds scream and flavor it up too with their awe struck amazement of it all as they become intoxicated with the sultan of sounds. So great.

  • yes ;)

  • @moseseseseses well said, man.

  • @moseseseseses

    Well said! Bravo.

As for North Sea Jazz, that's the beauty, there are allround music lovers coming there to rejuvinate their souls with proper music as to take on the next year with so much rubbish on the Dutch Radio.

  • To hear this boy play and sing this song with such a degree of sweeping soul, I can only be tempted to venture upon the presumption that at one time in his life or so, he was greatly in love with someone who broke his heart greatly. You have to know what love is all about to be able to sing this song like he does here. Right now, I'm glad he is married to all of us, his fans, and is devoting himself to serving us with his soul of talent that just relieves us daily from the toils of life.

  • This is how it should be done ... no comment, coze not worthy, simply magnificent!

  • Exemplary playing all around, but they need more footage of Carmine Rojas - what an INCREDIBLE bass player!!

  • Joe's got it and then some. Love this song. Excellent! His vocals are really good and oh, how about his guitar playing. :-))

  • I've posted it before and I'll post it again on a JB video...That boy's got more feel than Mr Tickle.

  • 3:25 wow

  • Sweet!

  • Odd, considering his choice of notes and phrasing in general, his playing sounds to me like Derek Trucks trying to play BB King. Great song, the piano is really lovely. Reminds me of Eagles' Desperado in certain places.

  • Starlit night, bonfire, cold beer and listening to JB. Doesn't get any better.

  • THIS GUY IS UP THERE WITH THE GREATEST

  • @rorymc98 --- I couldn't agree more. Go see this guy live, you'll be glad you did. What a show he puts on....

  • There's something just so magical about Joe's playing in this song...actually Joe's playing in general.

  • I am a devoted Srv fan. Always have been,

I love the way Jb. Plays forever and then sings a little kinda like Stevie would.

He will never be Stevie and I wouldn't want him to be.

He needs to be himself, and in doing that, He is fast becoming one of my favorite preformers.

    I love it.

    Rock on JB !

ps , when I get to heaven, I hope Stevie and JB are playing with all the greats just to us !

  • fuck yeah, love that song

what do they go on to play after?

  • 234 man no,You want to play the way you want to play jo's there to inspire

  • no trust me he's inspired me in every way possible. I think if it wasnt for JB i wouldnt be playing the blues at all. I just wish that i could play with the same ease as him.

  • how can you be so amazing

  • hes using the bb king signature guitar right?

  • yup that's Lucille, if I remember correctly BB gave it to Joe.

  • yes, autographed by bb.

  • how come when he plays it looks like i can just pick up my guitar and just play the same!! but in all seriousness it will take me a long long long time to play like him!!!

  • GREAT JOE!!!!!

  • AHHHH I really love this. I just wish there was a rhythm guitarist just playing the chords. The piano and the guitar compliment eachother so perfectly though, just think a rhythm guitarist would've made it a lot better.

  • I agree.

  • The run Joe starts at 3:25 is absolutely gorgeous.

  • what does he say 7:22 right before the keyboard outtro?

  • he says "dankje wel"

    That's Dutch for thank you.

  • Speechless

  • Absolutely Fabulous !!!

  • MAGNIFICENT!

  • Amazing!

  • Joe's The Best

  • I don't care what people say about his voice, he puts soul into it.

  • I agree, it sounds great with what he plays too!
