The host chickie really grated on me, the entire time I watched I was trying to figure out who she slept with the get the gig (I'm guessing a junior VP of marketing at Tor).

Too much make-up that wasn't applied well, jump cuts on ritalin, and uneven sound are not her fault (well maybe the make-up) but the hyper-perky chipmunk on crack vibe was just so wrong for anyone interested in scalzi's stuff, she's got all the depth of a cheap layer of paint.

Should have kept Donato Giancola after his work on the Old Man's War cover. The rest of the covers in Scalzi's series appear lack luster in comparison.
