  • @BUENOjhs bear in mind that it is a fairly old video

  • i have 975 extreeme with 4250 mhz i7 920 have no chance to beat 975 never

  • Hahaha what is the point of this retarded video? 920 beating i7 975? are you braindead or something?

    I am running my i7 975EE @ 3.9 with 1.2 Voltages... fucking pathethic video..

    Also running 980x @ 4.7 1.45V and 980x @ 3.9 is like 1.18 and yes its stable.. doesn't crash.

this video is pathethic like I said

  • Go 4.0 GHz or go home.

  • @kilgoretrout086 actually gone there...check my latest vid ;) 4.2ghz stable 24/7

  • @yoyotuber4000 very impressive,nevermind the doomsayers,well done

  • B.S. You are overclocking just one core when you use the 21x multiplier you idiot. I can overclock all four cours to 4.2 Ghz on air with ease thanks to the unlocked multiplier. NUFF SAID. Oh, and I only paid $425 for my 975 Extreme Edition CPU :P

  • Quick question, what are you using to cool this?

  • Hydro h50 corsair, 72Celsius at prime95 (under overclock of 3,7GHz), pretty good for the money of this cooler.

  • Thanks, mabie you can answer some of this as well:

What's a safe temperature for an i7? (Something that I can clock it to without having stability issues).

Also, what kind of maintenance does a watercooler have? Is it more expensive than a conventional fan cooler? Is its fan loud?

  • A safe temperature for an i7 is anything less than 85Celsious. I have overclocked my i7-920 to 3,7GHz and its idle temperature is at 35 degrees, only by benchmarking it, it reaches about 72 degrees. I never had any stability issues at this level.

Now about the watercooler. It's a normal cooler without using air, I mean that it cannot touch the performance of a watercooled system. It does not need any kind of maintenance, you install it and you are ready to go.

  • About the price, it cost me 85 euros, the coolermaster v10 (air cooler) costs 92 euros, so its a good price for an ALC watercooler.

I am using two fans on its radiator (something like push and pull) and i can say that i am happy with the result. If the stock fan doesn't meet your expectations you can change it.

Maybe i will have a video of my RIg just to show you some things you might want to see

  • Thanks

  • how do get the tweaker tab man

  • what do you mean...it's my stock bios settings, i haven't done anything to put it there

  • at only 3.7Ghz the i7 920 is very stable you dont even have to touch voltage or nothing just go right in and bring up the Base clock but for some reason 3.8 and up it just gets all complex and unstable but I got a zalman 9900 replacing that shitty stock intel fan it came with and i Gigabyte Ultradurable 3 X58 mobo so my results may be a tad more stable then a bargin computer from your local BestBuy

  • is it stable????

  • Nice vid bro, but i have to tell u that u have also to start playing with the voltages otherwise ur pc won't be so stable if u try to bench test... 5/5
