UCF Cheerleaders

i really want to go to ucf i'm a junior now this up coming year i have a standing backhandspring and a tuck also round off back tuck i'm learn how to do a front i am a flyer and i'm flexible but i need some advice on how to imrpove my chances of getting in i have a gpa of 3.5 and i'm always on the honor roll i have a mind set to get pure straigtht a's from this year and senior year coming

@CheerDiva112 You need more than tumbling. You better be able to partner stunt one-on-one with another male and know how to at least have a full twist. If you do not have this, your chances of making it are very slim.

@raclip02 yeah i have neva partner stunted with a guy bc dere were neva boys on the team but im either going to take dance lessons or tumblin lessons because i love to do both

but wen i partner stunted wit a girl I HATED IT it was painful and i usually love stunting and is really good at it

you can sign up at a local competitive cheer gym or a local gymnastics gym.

they are not the only team to win uca college nationals apart from kentucky, LSU, Ohio State, and NC State when they were uca have their fair share of titles too...learn u info

I went to school at UCF from 2001 to 2004! I loved it the school sprit at UCF is off the hook and everybody on that campus is loyal to UCF. U should apply to UCF it is a fun school and the football games are fun. U would enjoy that school.

what year are you in at your high school? I would say start applying towards the end of your junior or in the summer before you start as a senior. What state do you go to school in? it is semi hard to get into UCF but if you have good grades I dont see why you couldn't get in. I would also see if you can try cheerleading at UCF! Go for it.

Im in my junior year, and i live in florida. I make AB honor roll every nine weeks & have all honor classes. I seriously want to try out like I met 1 cheerleader and wanted to meet Linda Gooch but i was super nervous! lol

If you want to go to UCF you should apply. With your grades and living in Florida you should have no problem.

UCF is the crap! UCF is #2 on my dream college list. UK is my #1 they are the best but UCF ALWAYS gives them a run for their money! Cheerleading wise.

lol my sister is in 11th. I can kinda tumble I have a very raw backhandspring and tuck on a tramp but I take private tumbling lessons so hopefully I can do better soon!! My favorite part hmmm well stunting I love stunting even better than dancing! lol What about you?

Absolutley... I really wanna cheer 4 this squad called Cheer Camden Allstars.. like they r pretty good and i know some ppl on the team.. i just need to convince my parents of it lol.... (that may take a while)

haha yeah it took me a while to convince my mom to let me do school cheerleading! She was like its so scary you could get hurt! But now that she on board with cheerleading I have to tell her how much it costs to do all star... lol

U say UCF cheerleading team sucks!! Please UCF has many throphys competitions. UCF has placed in the top ten for the last 15 yrs in the Nationals. Get info correct.

not to be negitive but I didn't see a performance just alot of low boring clapping during the down time. I didn't see any energy. but I do like UCF

I know you're not trying to be negative, and I can see where you feel there might not be any energy...but they're doing a half time routine, showing off one stunt to the next. As a collegate competitive cheerleader myself, I know that (at least from the teams around the South) the people who are waiting on the ground should not show any type of spirit that could take attention away from the people going. This is NOT THE CASE when competing. Watch USF compete. They're amazing in my opinion :-)

i am not saying they are not a good team I also cheered for a collegate team. I cheer nca style maybe that is just the difference. We where always high energy and dance. but they are a great team.

That's an awesome point. I didn't think about that :-) And I didn't think you were saying they weren't a good team at all. You even said: "Not to be negative" - so you were just stating your opinion. Ignore people who are giving the "thumbs down" to your statement. I actually think you brought up a great point. I cheer UCA and am a UCA instructor - so I naturally tend to cheer with their style. I LOVE NCA and their style. But it is different, so I can see where the low energy might bug you :-)

thanks for that I like ucf I am just used to on the down time when no stunts are going up we are dancing standing and running tumbling and nice high claps with alittle bounce to it to get people ready for what is next. at least that is how we do at UofL

id LOVE to see you cheer. when you can pull out an back tuck x out basket or a full twisting layout basket then you can be a cheerleader.
