If you pronate and supenate the elbow, it'll help you to utilize your arm weight into the string, and in general keep your bow arm relaxed and loose. (not that it looks too tense) You're making some very pretty sounds, man.
I think its great! such a hard piece to pull of and i think you played it confidently and fluently, I study at the welsh conservatoire and the are few bass players who create such a commanding tone. Well done!
i would take the whole thing a bit faster, it sounds a bit stagnant as of now...also, more dynamic change--make the dolce parts sound dolce, as opposed to the fast marcato sections...do u think u could watch mine, and give me some feedback?
really like the style and seperation and stuff. Just a couple of things to think about--first, of you're going to have seperation like that, which i like, you might want a little more more of an attack on each note. Also, it could use a little more phrasing ...sometimes it lacks musical line and direction and can seem boring (which is unfortunately easy to do on this piece). Finally, vibrato is a bit consistent--some notes have it, some dont--maybe make it a little more consistent? Great job.
it's a nice pice! but you should really work on youre right hand technique. have you tried to use the wrist to control the motion of the bow?
