you should see my other videos of her from now. she is an amazing little girl. i bet you are too. its alot to overcome so early in life, but as a parent, i can tell you: its amazing to watch a little baby that the doctors had so little hope for and see the things she can do. they told me she would never do alot of things that she has already proven wrong! i tell everyone: "she's not disabled. she's differently-abled."
wow that's sooo cool that she can kick her legs already!! dont ever give up or let the doctors or any person decide weather she will walk or not! let GOD make that decision! :)
I am the mom to a 16 month old who was also born with Spina Bifida. She is the greatest gift from God that I have ever received. Now don't get me wrong, it took me several weeks, days, and even months to realize that. Some days I still have to remind myself. I have grown more in the last 16 months than I have in the last 34 years. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the entire world. Congrats!
My son has spina bifida, too. He is now 6 almost 7. Even with his manual wheel chair, he is very independent and such a love bug. I would not change a thing about him. He is a beautiful little boy, with differences we can see. Blessings to you, and your family. What a beautiful gift!
I am the aunt of Owen and I too have a child with spina bifida. My daughter is now 20 years and a junior in college. The last 20years have been wonderful, ups and downs, but I wouldn't give away a moment of them for anything! These kids are not freaks of nature, but rather the most loving children ever. I'll be praying for you and your family. Can't wait to see more of her!
