You can't compare the original Karate Kid to the new "Kung Fu" Kid. If you want a good experience out of both and you haven't seen either one yet, watch the "Kung Fu" Kid first then the original Karate Kids. Anyways, for those that know of Karate Kid, Danny and Mr. Miyagi will always be cherished as some of the best movie characters witnessed.
