If you translate this into English, it litteraly means, "your mother". To translate sentence and meaning from a language to another, isn't always easy. Religion clearly does not increase peaceful effect in our world. If your are genuinely interested in peace, then you'd propose solutions not criticisms of those who are trying to solve these problems.

Religion clearly does in fact foster peace in the world and in our lives. Because all religions are based on spreding loving kindness. To see this for yourself, go and look at the expression on peoples faces as they leave a buddhist medetation retreat.
In the name of religion however, many people spread hate, and criticise. These people are ignorant, and do not practise their faith well.
You should not judge religion on the basis of its practitioners. They are after all, only human.

Religion spawns good and evil versions of itself over the course of time. Dogmatic belief(lie) systems have more potential to do more damage than all the WMD's of the world. It contains more power to manipulate the hearts and minds of the blinded masses more than anything else that exists. This can be seen throughout history and in our world today. Caution - these conflicting forms of brainwashing have the potential to end humankind.

You have not properly identified the causes of human suffering. Religion can do nothing of itself.
Religion cannot kill, just like guns cannot kill of themselves, they require intention, and this comes from man. Therefore the cause of the end of humankind will not be religion, but man himself.
Think about it, if religion were outlawed, do you really think there would be any less death and suffering. To eliminate that we must strike at the root, ourselves.

I can identify that religion is the key motivating power behind the greatest sum of carnage throughout history and now. The gun does not motivate anyone to do anything - but combine it with religious fanatacism - and many tragedies will follow(as we see all around us today). Superstitious manipulations and forced ignorance are not worthy of praise.

Religion itself provides that potential - we do not need imaginary beings to calculate an ultimate solution to peace,love, and harmony. Thus far, religion's presence has engendered the opposite effect. We should develope a study - or a science - dedicated to maximizing the human conidition in a carefully calculated way -- one which takes into account universals. Through standardized global education - this might be possible.

newminkey, you make a good point, over 3000 is alot of people. However, if you made a chart of the causes of death by crime and other unjust acts of violence, I would expect to see terrorism at the bottom of the list. We would be driving 25 mph on interstates and wearing helments to the pool if we applied your numbers argument. Guaranteed, we need to vigorously protect from nuclear, biochemical, and dirty bomb threats.

We know that the majority of Muslims are not terrorists, but you need to examine your religion critically. Why does Islam contradict itelf. (e.g. The Bible is God's word. And don't believe the Bible.)

very clear, because the bible now is not the one what it was , the oldest one available now is from about year 450 A.D. since then till now it has been changed a lot of times, it is now not the original. If you want to discuss Isalm go to an Islamic scholar rather then youtube.

That's what you have been deceived into believing. In fact, the Bible is the most reliable and well attested book of antiquity, if you care to investigate for yourself. M. never knew what it said and that's why he acknowledges it. Only later did Islamic scholars concoct the absurdity that God's Word had changed. It doesn't and didn't.

Fortunately in this case al-Qaeda's competence in bomb attacks is no better than their competence in theology. They won't go to war as honorable men --man to man on the battlefield because they know they will lose flat out. They go the cowardly way of sneak murderers and don't even have the competence to that. When will Muslims wake up and realize Islam is a sham? Only a bad tree bears such bad fruit.
