  • Proscht, muzzarell? Here in Italy it's called prosciutto e mozzarella. The o and a at the end are very important! :-) Love you and your clips. Your music loop is a bit repetitive, but I'm a musician so I'm more sensitive to audio.

  • It's a giant garlic press.

  • LOL at 3:25

  • OMG! You are just too funny and these are the best videos I have watched. Love all your recipes and as I make them I will let you know how they come. Keep them coming!

  • potato ricer, every home should have one, we use them for indian breads, gnocci (no idea how to spell that) and perogies, i hae an interesting family, but we use it for everything!

  • Diana, u know i love ya more than my luggage... but WHAT IS THAT MUSIC? sounds like the soundtrack from bad porn..LOL.. love ya honey

  • LMAO!!! It's Gato Barberi my fav Saxophone player, use to go see him play in Manhattan all the time

But you're right... it is music to screw by LOL

  • Mmm this looks absolutely fantastic!! I've been planning to make this for about 2 months for Christmas, I can't wait! Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe :)

  • Sounds wonderful! Wish you had included a clip of you cutting into the finished product, but I will probably see for myself one day soon, when I try it!

I would add chopped onions to the mash and be sure to use grated parmesan. I could almost be tempted to add some aspargus tips on top of the proschiutto too!

You make great cooking vids! I'm off to look for more!

  • Thanks so much for sharing! I have been looking for good recipes using potatoes. And this one takes the cake. My son loves mashed potatoes and this is fantastic! You have make a lot people happy using this recipe im sure! Thanks for passing this on agian!

  • do you make pumpkin pie as well?

  • I usually make sweet potato pie

  • oh yum you should make a video this wednesday of your sweet potato pie!

  • Oh no i made a mistake and i put the mozzarella cheese first and then the ham...will this ruined my pie?

  • no :)

  • Ok good thanx its cooking in the oven right now, for tommorow : )

  • Looks delicious, I'm going to make it for Turkey Day- are you using seasoned or unseasoned bread crumbs?

    Love you guys! :)

  • Glad you liked it... I used seasoned

  • seriously you need your own cooking show

  • You're so sweet... thanks :)

  • Hey diana if i make the potato pie a night before thanksgiving do i serve it Warm or Cold? Microwave it or how do YOU serve it???

  • Always serve it hot... If I prepare it the night before I usually heat it up in the oven...but you can microwave it if you like.

  • How long do you heat it in the oven for and how many degrees do i set the oven to?

  • If it's pre-cooked I just set the oven to 350 and let it heat through for about a 1/2 hour.

  • you guys from BOYston?

  • No.... NY

  • yeah you do need your own show, like a real homey show-filmed from your house, with snookie and everything in it, i think it'd be a hit...but i also love u on youtube:) keep em comin

  • i found your videos by mistake and i am glad i did.. very helpful and FUNNY.. CHicken,, ass,, OMG so FUNNY.. Give this lady her own show!!!!

  • Did that 1 week ago, thanks Diana ! was delicious ! I used a food processor instead of the potato ricer, Was easy ! Also at the end, dont make the same mistake as me, put a thin layer of bread crum, I put too much and it wasted crispy in the end

  • I'm so glad you made it! It will come out better once you put your own spin on it :)

  • I'm so hungry now. And our dinner pales to this!

  • LMFAO

"it dont come outta the chicken's ass like that"

haha i like your cooking videos, very entertaining.

  • I miss Hellmann's mayo :((( boo hoo

  • Yes we love it there....we live in Estero, Florida (South Fort Myers)

  • We were on Sanibel Island last weekend......

  • It's so beautiful there!

  • Here is something you could add in the description, feel free to edit grammar or spelling error :-)

1 - boil potatoes cut in cubes with chicken stock and a bit of garlic

2 - mashed the potatoes manually or with a potato ricer

3 - Add half a stick of cut up butter (don't worry about calories)

4 - Add milk (don't eat it up)

5 - Add half a cup of mayonnaise (or sour cream)

6 - Add half a cup of graded cheese

    7 - Add some peppers

8 - Add two tempered eggs

  • 9 - OPTIONAL: add prosciutto or Salami 10 - Mix up real good ! 11 - Spray oil or butter the bottom of your pan 12 - Put a layer of bread crumbs on the bottom 13 - add some cubes or butter 14 - add a layer of the potato mix 15 - add a layer of mozarelle 16 - Add a layer of prosciutto 17 - Cover again with the potato mix 18 - Finally spreakle with bread crumbs and add cubes of better 19 - Put in the oven at 350c during an hour or so
  • that looks orgasmic.

  • lol "im sure they dont come out of the chickens ass like that" your awesome!!!

  • I rarely laugh on video. That made me laugh so hard

I'm doing this recipe real soon, thanks for sharing

  • my favorite line :))

  • i really like you videos but i think the recipes are not very light and too ...stuffy and fatning .

    you have a great personality

  • of course, its italian/comfort food! full of carbs, oil, fat, but its damn good

  • I am italien and live in italy , and the food is not that fatning, its jsu tthe americanized italien that is.

  • yeah, when we americans think italian food, its always spaghetti, heavy cheeses, alfredos, but italians do eat healthy antipastis with olives, salamis, fish and tons of fruit

  • I love this food, you really great.

  • Please tell us about your cartoon knives. Love your cooking and the interaction between the cook (name?) and Frankie.

  • Thanks for the recipe! I made this over the Easter holiday and my family loved it. It was my first time having prosciutto. Do you have any other recipes using it?

  • I use it in my Chicken Rollatini Video, glad you liked it :)

  • "I'm sure they didn't come outa the chickens ass like that!"

Love your videos. Deffinately gotta try some of these soon.

  • Il Gatto di Patate.. delizioso!!!! I've made a few different varieties, including one with finely chopped anchovies, capers and parsley to the potato mixture. Sometimes I'll make it with the addition of soppressata or prosciutto, or sometimes just a few slices of fresh mozzarella di bufala. I've never been more inspired to host my own "cooking show" and post for viewers. I hope to have your blessing on that one!!

  • Of course you have my blessings, cooking is what brings us all together :)

Send me your cooking vid after you make it

    (((HUGS)))

  • Holidays are nice but me myself i'm always in gymnastic training so i go home like once twice a year

  • That looks really good! I bet you are a great cook! Ciao! Susan in Iowa

  • Question, are the bread crumbs seasoned?

Thanks, I can't wait for an excuse to make this :)

  • Yes they are....I usually always use only the seasoned ones but I forget to mention it.

  • Great stuff! Your thanksgiving is about six weeks after ours. I think that's because it gets colder sooner in Canada, so outdoor feasts need

to happen before the big chill...

  • Glad you liked it...as I'm writing this is snowing outside. Has it snowed much by you?

  • It NEVER snows in Victoria :)

  • Is that on the island of Vancouver (Sorry about the spelling)?

  • Yummy can you make me one? You should have your own cooking show, your fun to watch :)

  • Thanks sweetie :)

  • I'm so glad the guys liked it :)

    (((HUGS)))

  • They liked it so much that I think I owe you a batch of the oatmeal cookies w/white chocolate & cranberries that I mentioned to you awhile back.... Just say the word!

    Sandi

  • Looked gooood. I may try to make this even though I'm def not into cooking. BTW, loved you pants ;-)

  • you rock Di!

  • Looks yummy! I'd be tempted to substitute Miracle Whip for the Mayo except I don't know how well Miracle Whip fares in the oven. Or would that be a capital crime? LOL. Anyhow I prefer Miracle Whip to Mayo on sandwiches. In cooking it might suck though.

  • try using sour cream instead...I don't think the miracle whip will taste too good in this recipe.

  • Miracle Whip? Miracle Whip?? Miracle??? That stuff is not fit for human consumption!! :O)

  • That was awesome! I would've liked to have seen it all cooked up, too. Thanks for posting!

  • I didn't cook it till the next day and I forgot to film it :(

  • I have a ricer, but that damn thing clogs up so easy, making it time consuming! Looks good!! I may try that! Thanks for sharing!

    *Sanriofreak*

  • Just mash em up good...i rarely use the ricer unless Frankie does it cause it hurts my hands after a while.

  • Boy, that looked good. I hope you and Frankie had a nice Thanksgiving. I love you two, love the way you laugh together and tease each other.

  • I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving too!!

    (((HUGS)))

  • Nice music..whos running the video camera?

  • Frankie is...but I think he had too much wine cause he keeps moving the camera too much :)

  • That looks delicious!!! And ALWAYS save the last slice of prosciutto for Frankie!

  • He'd go nuts if I didn't LOL

  • I found this video right BEHIND LocoMama's in the top rated section. Love you, mama!!

  • That was such a great video, Good Job! Music was good also.

  • Oh god .....Stop it with the food vids ...so yummy .i am going to try to make this .

  • Hiya Paris!!! Let me know how it turns out!

  • Well, Diana, I did it. Since it was just my Dad and me, I made a "half recipe," which is only enough to feed 6 ravenous pigs, and I did all my measuring as precisely as you do.

We ate the whole thing, and I was ORDERED to do it again for Christmas! We LOVED it! 1000 estralas!

My ONE variation: I threw a diced onion in with the garlic when I cooked the potatoes, just because I felt like it. :-)

I hope you and Frankie have had a GREAT Thanksgiving.

    Hugs!

    Moosie

  • I'm so happy you made this...adding the onion sounds good too!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving too...knowing that you made this recipe it almost makes me feel like I was there with you :)

    (((HUGE HUG))))

  • I'm so happy you shared it. And thankful!

I told my Dad I got it from "someone on YouTube." Of course, he has no idea what that is except some online thing I talk about too much. I was thinking about you as we destroyed it and talked about how awesome it was, so in a way you WERE there. Sorry I didn't save you any, but it was MINE, ALL MINE! LOL!

    Love ya!

    Moosie

  • Hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanks for another wonderful recipe.

  • happy thanksgiving to you and frankie and family, diana! as I'm writing this I bet you guys are already stuffed and lounging around in sweatpants growling about how full you are!

  • I passed out by 10 last night after all the cleaning...that's the only sucky part about the holidays.

  • Yay! My family says I can make this for Christmas :) Thanks so much Diana! Cant wait!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

-Andrea (aka Reaperscurse on Stickam :P)

  • Hiya Reaper!!
