It was reeeaally annoying apparently, when you froze you had to shake the controller (REALLY shake it, hard) to escape and if you were still on the ice after, then you died. I guess it could be used well in some places, like the 'controllers down' levels, but imagine the H4H-style levels... So much more annoying Dx

Maybe they removed it because of a large amount of glitches you could do with it. Just imagine it. You stay in a hole JUST small enough for you to fit in and then you freeze. The ice block is larger than the sack person and It would probably glitch around the place!

In a recent video I watched, Alex Evans mentioned that he personally was annoyed Ice was removed. The reporter asked what was happening at Mm currently and he said they were working on adding stuff that was removed... ICE.

Why was it removed in the first place? Lag? I saw a loading screen just before the sackboy froze. All in all, I want the ice back soon. Many levels could be made revolving around it.

Nobody really knows.

I think it was because they had a tight deadline, and just couldn't finish it in time. It probably needed optimizing or something, because of the loadscreen.

I read that LBP is going to have a major patch that will include sticker export from HDD, and maybe even ice. Although Media Molecule has kept it secret that you will later be able to export pictures from the HDD, because then less people would buy the PS Eye camera.
