after listening to loud car steroes blast rap music in my town for way too long, i bought myself a comparable system and ride around blaring the likes of Big Joe and Cab Calloway. Just doing my part...
@rlindstrom0508 sounds like a plan..... I'll never forget walking past a pawn shop many years ago from which the radio was blasting Louis Jordan's ~"If You're So Smart, How Come You Ain't Rich?".... such R'n'B needs to be heard loud and proud.
Unreal... I almost have to slap myself to believe what I'm watching. Amos, Cab and Joe Turner on the same stage.. I'm speechless. Just to show how ahead of his time Cab was, listen to how well Minnie blends in with Bad Bad Whiskey and Shake, Rattle and Roll...
These are all exceptional renditions of these songs. How many more tapes of this show exist?
If you liked these preformances make sure you check out the Louis Jordan video I've posted as a reply. We also have a r&b playlist that has some other great clip.

It was Joe Turner that was the real deal behind R@R not Bill Haley, could it be because Joe was black...

These were actually filmed in a NY City TV studio and spliced into actual Apollo footage. It's all real and great nonetheless!
