Great ear you've got there, nimble fingers & a formidable grasp of Clapton's blues techniques & how to re-evoke all their nuances! Great attack & powerful presence in the way you played one of my favorite guitar solos. Another very memorable solo of his was on Have You Heard (About My Baby), on John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, with Eric Clapton. In any event, thank you very much for posting your video. It gives a clearer idea of which fret positions work best for playing those riffs!
Nice! Are you in standard tuning? because i notice when i play with the Dominos in the backround my guitar sounds out of tune. Nice video man check out my clapton style lick if you want.
@Mrmaniac15765 Yep, standard tuning. But you're right about sounding out of tune unless you tweak your tuning a little. As the story goes some coffee spilled on the Layla tapes and somehow the end result was slightly sped up (or down?) tapes. Somebody explained it once and I thought, Aha! That's why the album always seemed to be tuned between notes!
Thanks, bro! Good eyes! I added a Seymour Duncan SSL to the middle position for strat sounds. Time to switch to the Vibro Champ. This vid is shrill!!!
Nice sound! Very cool!
