With all due respect Myz, I mentioned COGIC because a good number of men there are on the DL. A friend of mine dated a pastor who was on DL. Inevitably, his orientation became soon known by his church and went to the heads of COGIC. The ordered him to give up his position and no longer be a member of that same church.

What I have found is that the church's definition of holiness is not necessarily incorrect, it is however, incomplete.
Holiness is not just about a whole bunch of do's and don'ts, but also about how you think, how you treat people, how you talk, and how you carry yourself.

Society NOR COGIC encourages nothing. You have a choice to live your life or a live a lie. Life is about choices. In times we live in now no one wants to take responsibility for their actions. We want to point fingers and not take responsibility for what WE do. I don't agree with what you said however I respect your point of view.

With all due respect Myz, I mentioned COGIC because a good number of men there are on the DL. A friend of mine dated a pastor who was on DL. Inevitably, his orientation became soon known by his church and went to the heads of COGIC. The ordered him to give up his position and no longer be a member of that same church.
There are double messages being sent: 1) Stop lying, be honest, don't use women/stop hiding. 2)You're suppose to be with a woman, you will be exiled for being true, and etc.

To be honest MrJ the only reason this pastor was treated like this is because he didn't know enough of the "right" people and filling the right pockets OR he wasn't in the right position. In COGIC its about your name, money and position and who you know you. Plain and simple. I know some pastor's too who are gay/dl/bisexual however they haven't been touched because of who they know.

Oh. S&G was "destroyed" because of several acts of sin, specifically GLUTTONY- a common practice, yet deadly sin. Also, wanting to rape someones son is not homosexuality(per say), it's abuse.
A just so you know, that "punishment" was actually actually an asteroid.This was during a time that everything people lack knowledge of was a "god/devil" related occurance/force. A similar story was used in the greek mythology's story of the son of Helios(sun god), fell to earth.There are 19 others.

I agree. These SAME HOMOSEXUAL CHRISTIANS do not even believe in the whole Word. They only believe in the parts that Jesus said and even that they have screwed up- not realizing everything Jesus said lined up with the Word in the Old Testament.
