  • At 3:25 he mentions that "You have to listen to the market".

    Incase anybody who is confused here and not from a background of finance - what he means is that you should develop your instincts to observe specific stocks and indices yourself. For example, is there good volume being traded on the Buy-side for a particular stock? Are the 'Resources' sector, as a whole, in the green for the day so far? These are MUCH more valuable than going off news releases...

  • I set up a three-fold bankroll for each form of my investing. Money management is crucial, and losses need to be expected, but people miss the beauty of how simple money management is what enables all the profit to hold. After being in the market for a while, even directional trades become relatively easy. I however do miss the days of flipping IPO's. ;)

  • CNBC, most of the people on there are a bunch of gossip mongers. I switched over to Bloomburg about 2 weeks ago, but even then I still mute my TV, its too distracting. I just look at it every now and then incase of major headlines.

  • @UtopiaFX but it does get people into the world of stocks and investing by catching the ear of the listener. it caught me i still listen but not the talking heads on tv lol your right about that but the info and lingo helped me learn the ins and outs of market mechanics. it does help on levels. but i still agree with you.
