@ghosterdude You dunce, there's a thing called a 'video camera' that people can use to film things with and it has been around a lot longer than the camera phone.
@666fannyfart did you know that you're still getting a sound AND playing the guitar if the electric guitar is not plugged in? its true go to your guitar center and try one out. tune it to drop D too you tool
@666fannyfart Ain't you fuckin' clever! you can still hear an electric guitar even if it aint plugged in, dumbass. Do you honestly think that hitting steel strings isn't going to make some amount of noise?
It sounds like a '50s ballad, but if you listen closely after he finishes the song, Hicks says, "I came up with that in the car, and I went home and it just came out on the guitar." I.e. it's a Hicks original.
I hate all you fucker who dis him, hes a true american hero :) im no yank im your average limey...
but damn this guy would make me proud to be american, i adore you bill and fuck all you religious fuckers saying burn in hell... cause you know what if hes burning in hell He is burning with the BEST!!!
bill hicks is where it was at. There is no christian god, or whoever said that, its all the same god, That's what bill hicks knew and spread. Please watch "comic outlaw" Hes a fricken hero, maybe no a saint though
If I ever get money... I'm so going to track down that guitar and use it exclusively forever and ever. Or if I could jack one from his parents for a pretty penny. Maybe they still have the ones he used recording Arizona Bay and Rant in E Minor? Do want.
oh right was that it!! Cheers newimprovedminkey!! If i ever have any other questions on anything, i'm sure you will have the answer!! thanks again my friend!!
My friend told me that while on stage one time near the end of his life he got so bored with stand up comedy he said to the crowd 'I cant do this anymore' and walked off. Apparently it was in his autobiography. Is there any clips of this on youtube does anyone know??
I think what you're refering to was his very last gig, the one following the last recorded gig. It was his girlfriend he called out to because the intensity of the pain he was experiencing from his terminal cancer at that moment was literally and physically unbearable. Boredom had nothing to do with it and no that last gig was not recorded.
definitely not the silverburst. it's got mini-hums, it's got a sunburst finish. it's not a custom, otherwise the headstock would have the diamond thingy with the swooshes.
could very well be one of adam jones's guitars, i don't know. but it's not one of the silverbursts.
however, the silverbursts are great guitars. well, many of them. gibson's quality is shite now. better off with a good ol hagstrom, in my opinion.
Nah I'd say 1980's Late, by the looks of it. He still is hefty, and wearing the glasses. Kinda didn't see that in 1992-4. Maybe Late 80's early 90's my estimation...
Bit heated here. There is another video of Hicks playing on youtube where you can actually hear him. That's worth a watch. His phrasing and chords are nice in that video.
It's not a silverburst... It's difficult to see what the finish is because there are some reflections in te lacquer, but Adam's LP is a Custom, meaning it'd have the big diamond on the headstock. This one doesn't.
If Im not mistaken there 300 pixels in this video. 15x20. Lol. But thanks for uploading a vid of bill.
