This is my horse's grand sire as well. The amazing thing about Grannus is that he passes along both his appearance and his talent. At a Florida show, we saw two other horses that looked identical to ours. Both of them were Grannus Hannoverians!

God, this is my favorite stallion of all time. Have you seen his offspring DVM and how many are top horses? He's my gelding's great-grandsire, but you can even see Grannus is my guy. This stallion passes on strong blood, and it was a shame to lose him at such a young age.

I think it was a combination of old age and stress, but I'm not positive. He was 21 and he was whinnying and getting caught up in all the excitement of the presentation and I think it just caught up to him.
