I always admit people, who can set up the masterpiece from a sketch... i always begin doing things in the haaard way, unless someone shows me the basics! ty very much :)
Don't know what the fuss is about. He's trying to show the drum patterns typical for Dubstep and to see that as a whole it makes sense to lay it out in the piano roll window not the Redrum step/pattern mode. Pause the screen on the straight 4/4 and then on the dubstep and you can clearly see what the difference is i.e. snare only on the 3 doubled up with the kick. As for no commentary, thought it made a refreshing change and helped the tutorial move along at a decent pace.
hey there, great going m8. There will ALWAYS be haters, most likely the ones hating is those not even making music themselves. Everybody has to start somewhere and this tut is great for starters. Big up's! ;)

why didnt u just use the drum machine? in stead of drawing the notes in wid the pencil tool. I find it alot easier, just recently got reason i can make a beat using the drum machine but i dont know how to then place that in the arrange area, can anyone help??
good tutorial, teaches the technique right for dubstep, but ive been producing and listening to dubstep for a while and nobody uses claps anymore, its just not good. blips and glitches are where its at my friend.
you took yime out of YOUR life to try to help. and youre not even gaining anything out of it really. but people are just so ready to hate and criticize for something thats not even as bad as they exhagerate! great video man, it certainly helped me
Quick question, im fairly new to reason and it seems that when i try and set it to 2 bars, the right locator auto moves back to the position it was in. Also when i click enable loop, it turns right back off, can u help me out?
why is every1 laying hate on the guy, hes only making a tutorial to try benefit us, give the guy a break, atleast hes kind enuf to give us resources to learn!
ok so what if its no the ebst tutorial on the web
take the knowledge from the vid, and learn from it, not throw it back in the guys face and lay hate.... your lucky hes done this for you all... geezz... people these days are so ungreatful ..
your making it harder , the best way to make a drum loop from skratch is not to use the sequenser , but make it directrly in the redrumcomp. and then copy patern to track ...
@kalashnikov9 It takes a lot more mouse clicks to program on the Redrum pattern sequencer and then to copy pattern to track but, that is certainly an option and can be easier for some. You can program your beats in that fashion if you like, I find it easier to work directly in the sequencer, and alot faster too.
This tutorial was intended for people to understand dubstep beats in comparison to normal 4x4 beats, and to help maximize the output as well. It was merely a guidline.
U do some nice things but non of this tuutorial makes mbe u should do it b4 sharing dnt understand why i cant use the combinator there is no sound connected if that makes any scence.
