  • aww man i dont want to do this....i hope i dont wash out and get thrown into security forces...lol no offense...the dude in this video seems cool as fuck tho, he's in the right career field unlike these macho bullshet heads that think they are big king shit.

  • which duty belt does he use?

    thanks for the information!

    greetz

  • 0:39 gota respect the guy for his attitude=)

  • all i can say is that once i was IN the Air Force and then IN the Security Police and then IN the K-9 squad, i was always very proud of all the different jobs i was given. so no matter which branch you're in and what your job is, be proud to help keep this country strong. thanks to all vets , new and old.

  • if you join SF how do you become expeditionary ?

  • When I was in during the late 60's, I think they were called "Air Police" at the time and later changed their name

  • They should not call these guys and gals SF. Ignorant people assume they are Special Forces and that couldn't be farther from the truth. Next up for those people who think these guys are in combat THEY ARE NOT unless in the wrong place at the wrong time. Next, civilian police deal with drunks, fights, DUIs, assualts, warrants, etc ON THE REG. These guys drive around in pickups around the flight line ON THE REG. These are not special forces police ninjas. They are military security that carry

  • @msalak87

Why do you care? Their job is still one that needs to be done.

  • For some comments under me:the german barrets are blue and the american barrets are black

  • Please understand that being a military "cop" (MP), etc, is NOTHING like being a Law Enforcement Officer in the civilian sector. There is good reason why 95% of agencies DO NOT accept your MP training as valid experience when considering you for hire. You just don't deal with the same stuff everyday, over and over, etc... Having been an Army MP and now a LEO for almost 10 years as a civilian, trust me, you don't understand Law Enforcement until you work in or near a major city...

  • This is so bad...If you are thinking of becoming a Security Forces member here is your warning, don't do it. Unless you don't like time off and having a normal schedule.

  • Is there a lot of crime on that air force base, like break-ins and armed robbery?

  • @MondoBeno Not usually, no. For the most part, military bases are a lot safer than the community outside of them. Probably has something to do with robbers not getting access and military people who steal have nowhere to run.

  • @MondoBeno they have alot of roads that need blocked and aircraft that need watched

  • @ranchysauce: the ARMY SF beret is green not blue... Regular soldiers wear black, airborne wear maroon, and rangers wear a tan beret.

  • My cousin was an airforce mp

  • n county jails guards come to work with a back pack full of video games after a few bed checks & roll calls its all racking up needless overtime & boredom. In Riv Calif cops spent more on political influence in 2011 then in the previous 10yrs It works! With their union $ they own the state legislature Insuring no honest man hold elected office who wont rob the general fund. Ironic isn't it, the people cops put in jail could never in a life time do as much damage to our once great state.

  • the SF beret is blue NOT black

  • @RanchYsaUce Theyre black

  • In the military you really need to go into special operations to actually know what being a police officer is about. The idea of checking a pistol back into an arms' room after going 10-7 is kinda like a bad joke. I have been army SRT and K9, it was the closest thing to being a real cop. Now I work as a senior police officer and advisor, my badge and gun are good to go through out the whole state of New Mexico. Security forces is a whole lot like security guards.

    Good job though.

  • @Arelexian How is being a Special Operator anything like being a civilian Police Officer. MPs are used in combat, so they are a lot better trained the civilian Police. Civilian Police hardly ever draw their weapon. Special Forces would get you ready for Special Weapons and Tactics, or an Emergency Reaction Team. Otherwise, Special Operations is nothing like being a civilian Patrol Officer.

  • @USNNick This isn't special operations USN. What are you SRF-B certified or something? It's security forces for the airforce, and although they are trained DIFFERENTLY for combat, it actually IS a lot like being a civilian patrol officer. Go ask an MA the last time they drew there weapon off a firing range.

  • @Arelexian Incorrect sir.

  • the end is hilarious/\......singing...

  • He is way to nice to be an mp

  • LOL SrA Humphries! I was in Bucca with that dude. Had to see him doing good! That kid is hilarious.

You guys have probably heard this before but, as far as the career field, it's really what you make of it and what base you are at. More the latter. The A1C @ sitting @ the gate @ RAF Mildenhall in the rain for 12 hours probably has a different outlook on the career field then the A1C @ MChord AFB doing Raven missions.

  • I can join the Air Force in about 2 years, And I'm really thinking about going into Security Forces. Is there anyone on here that can message me about what all kinds of Jobs that are in that Area. I would really appreciate it.

  • Lol at him singing Rodney Atkins at the end. Lol

  • Is this the same as an MP?

  • @LastXdeth Yep! :)

  • @pinapplegum Only Army MP's have a combat side, law enforcement side, Exactly the same.

  • ok ok ok. I'm a SF member and I can tell you it's an easy job, but it's a shitty job at the same time. I've done it all from gate guard to sitting at a desk dispatching and even sitting behind a console acknowledging alarms. The hardest part is being looked down upon for being a cop, being shitted on by your leadership/supervisor, etc. However, it changes you as a person and instills patience, a sense of hard work and self-motivation because if you don't do for yourself, no one else will.

  • much respect for military cops, no respect for civillian cops

  • I'm an active member on the Civil Air Patrol, I'm currently a Cadet Master Sergeant and my squadron's flight sergeant. I really want to be a Security Forces Officer, I really feel admiration for this job. On the contrary I feel like it's actually like being the Infantry of the AF, this is whats scares me a little bit. I'm I going to be a cop or are they going to use me as infantry? Please, also, keep in mind that I want to be an officer and not an enlisted member, maybe this changes something

  • Almost every one who joins the AF wants to do Security Force. It's the most popular MOS for them. As for the Army, it's the MP's, Rangers, or SF.

  • Just got out in Feb after six years. SF was good times

  • we deployed to camp bucca together.i think he was a Amn then

  • lol man i love you and hat you are doing thanks for influencing me to become a a usaf cop.

  • This is the job I'm going in for, I will refuse any other job and will wait as long as it takes for an opening.

  • Ummm....I think there Berets are Dark Blue

  • @ShaiqNBaiq5464 while this is true, the beret is hardly distinguishable from black unless in direct sunlight.

  • MAN i really hope this is what i get to do if it is then i will re-enlist and try to get into sniper

  • is this really what life would be like?

  • Can't wait for this!!

  • I leave 20th of Sep for basic. Can't wait.

  • I'm a civil air patrol cadet I plan to join the air force but I kneed help

  • @MrJosiahjames How do you need help?

  • @MrJosiahjames CAP!!!!!! what rank?

  • @MrJosiahjames Hell Yeah squadron 203

  • @MrJosiahjames Do you kneed help with your spelling?

  • Im doing security forces!!!! i dont leave for BMT till november 29th....

  • Thank you for uploading this. I am going to be in security forces by next year. I've already signed up. This video makes me even more excited

  • bleigh i had two wavers passed on me sooo i will literally take what they give me and be happy about it lol, my dream of going in the military came true so there is no reason for me to bitch about it haha.. and what may i ask should i be looking forward to at basic???

  • @RealMusicBVB I'm glad that you're so positive! There are a lot of people who lose sight on the amazing benefits and opportunities the AF gives its members. The great thing about the military is that if you don't like your boss, he/she will eventually move anyways!

A lot of your BMT experience will depend on your outlook, determination, and... well... gender. Females and males interact differently in their flights. I can give you some pointers on either, though.

  • @pinapplegum hahah give me any pointers lol ill take what i can get lol

  • I got disqualified from this job :'( the only job I wanted, I was hoping I could do this for two years then become a dog trainer... urgh ohh well im in the airforce, well leaving in two weeks for basic so i suppose everything works out

  • @RealMusicBVB Aw, I'm sad to hear that. Sometimes things like that happen... if you don't mind me asking, why were you disqualified? What are you going in to the Air Force as now?

Good luck at basic! If you have any questions about it, please don't hesitate to ask. There are also tons of great forums out there with advice on Basic and other matters. :)

  • @pinapplegum I was disqualified for not having depth perception lol, i was on depcc for like a year, finally got the job of my dreams, then a week later my recruiter called me up and said he was sorry but had to take back my job.. lol the funny thing about it was that a week prior he played an april fools prank on me saying he got me my number one job hahaha, yeah it happens its cool lol :) I am going in under and open general contract!!!!! which is cool im just lucky to be going in!!! And yes I

  • @pinapplegum yes I have questions!!!!! lol I need as much information I can possibly get before i leave in two weeks!!! lol I will take any answers you have for meh :)

  • @RealMusicBVB Open general??? Ohhhhhh crap. See, many people get sucked into the idea of doing open general, but a lot of time they get the crappiest jobs in the AF when they do that. What I did was sign up for a job I wanted beforehand. I had a dream sheet that I wouldn't negotiate on. If you have any further questions, please send me a message. :)

  • I am about to join the air force as security forces, and I also choose it. Do you like it? Can anyone tell me some more information. I know the hours are long, but I have already made up my mind that I want to do it. My husband is a crew chief and I have been exposed to the air force quite a bit, but I would like to hear from somebody about SF.

  • @laycammons Most people join SF because they want to work LE, but what they don't know is that doesn't mean you'll actually work LE. There's a lot of bases out there where you'll never work LE, just Security and I can tell you right now, sitting in a humvee trying to stay awake for 14-16 hours gets pretty old fast. And thats just the tip of ice burg. Talk to as many actual Enlisted SF member, low ranking and high. Don't ask officers unless you plan on going officer, totally different ball game.

  • @laycammons You're also gonna have to get used to being pushed around by top brass. If any officer is not happy with something on the base, he/she will likely task the SF to do something about it. This can really hamper your ability to do your job when top brass insist on babysitting you, as it were. A SF Staff Sergeant actually complained about this to me.

If you get a good SF squadron commander, he/she will help alleviate the top brass problem. I hope for the best in your case.

  • he sounds like he really likes his job

  • I think you meant beret. I was an Air Force cop from 1984 - 1995 (back when we were known as security police) and an OSI agent from 1995 - 2004.

  • Humphries!! I went to tech school with him.

  • this doesnt look that bad, how do you get to go on patrols and such?

  • @CarlPez12321 Make a few stripes, learn your job, and don't suck. Then you will get to pull patrols.
