You are right. It is hypocritical.. Laying hens get their beaks chopped off.. I own and raise chickens and their beak is a VERY sensitive and a very crucial part of their body. Plus those wretches keep them in teeny little cages. My chickens lay well and they aren't kept in teeny little cages, their beaks aren't chopped off, they get to dustbathe, sunbathe, and even raise chickies of their own. But they ones in industry are tortured until they die. :(

Love your message. A lot of people would protest at the sight of animal abuse but forget all about what goes on in the meat industry when it comes to the food on their plate. Yes there may be some places (smaller farms) where with less people, they can better control abuse and kill humanely...but so much goes on behind those big factory farms that are taking over.
