We need more people like you--vocal, rational, articulate, and to the point. It seems that tribal culture/law influence in Pakistani law (not to mention other countries' laws) is masquerading as Islamic influence.
any person that directly or indirectly defiles the sacred name of the holy prophet muhammad, shall not be punished with death or imprisionment. Anyone blamed for blaspheming agianst the holy Qur'an should not be imprisioned.
Dont hurt, arrest, or deny people outside travel or immigration, if you didnt physically witness them (not video, or dont have accurate physical circumstantial evidence (not words/ video: torture, rape, bodily injury, physically abuse, or attempt to physically abuse (verbal or written words/speech arnt an attempt to physically abuse).
if you dont like what someone says: walk away, talk about definitions of words to see if there was a misunderstanding, give each other reasons why each other thinks that certain way, change the subject, be optimistic. Never kill someone just because you dont like verbal or written words they said.
Well...pakistani people and politicians have allowed these religious thugs to rule us.
How can a cabinet where no one practices Islam decide what to do about blasphemy Law ?
I would love to put all these bearded thugs on live TV and have them discuss their despicable Islam....probably it would be a great comedy...just as lauhgable as their Islam
Too right man- what religions say 'go and kill people who disagree with us'? If that is said somewhere, the religion is a joke. Pakistan is a screwed up country. All of this is political pandering. It's like the Witch hunts that used to happen in Britain - and that's why I think it's fair to say Pakistan is a few hundred years behind the Western World in many ways.
After I consider the various events in the life of Holy Prophet (PBUH) when he forgave people who insulted (naudobillah) him, I have no doubt that he would have forgiven Asia Bibi.
The inquisition used blasphemy laws in Europe during the 14th century as justification to kill religious minorities. It backfired in the same way, people started turning in their neighbors over personal disputes, their landlords over the rent, and those with descending opinions on blasphemy laws (such as yourself) from the inquisitors.
You should also tell your muslim brothers my friend, to stop the violence. The more violence they perpetrate, the more people will turn away from that religion. No one wants to follow a religion, that does not respect human life, these people kill innocent human beings like dogs. I have seen muslims converting people peacefully, why not adopt that method, it seems more effective?
People in the United States need to talk to and see more people like this guy. Then and only then will we see as a country that radical Islam is not a true representation of the whole faith. In reality the extremist are people with power using religion to control their people.
It is not required but it is considered a sign of respect. You will often find Muslims say "peace be upon him" after referring to the Prophet Muhammad to show respect to him by invoking God's blessings on him. We also do this for other prophets. It is common to hear Muslims say "on whom be peace" after referring to Jesus or other prophets.
Great summation of the true principles of Islam. Jazakullah, brother.
The Quran says to leave 'blasphemy' and such disagreements to Allah - He Alone will decide. Maybe these Pakistani officials should consider this while applying these patently un-Islamic laws.
@rahimick5 I don't think for a minute that the Pakistani gov. gives a shit about the quran. They just use it as a way to sell their militant world view to the people. I don't know any Muslims personally, but I can only hope that most of them are as level headed and peaceful as this guy :)

Salam everyone!
Blasphemy Law is not in Allah’s Quran. It is a man-made law.
Should we follow Allah’s Quran–Or–Should we follow man-made law???
O people of the ummah! Why don’t you read your Allah’s Quran and follow It?
Allah declares in His Quran:
—”Indeed, (O Messenger) We will look into the affair of those who speak scornfully against you.” (Al-Hijr-95)
Allah Himself will look into the blasphemy matter. Allah didn’t allow anyone to take the matter in his hands.

Pakistan needs to read a history book.
This will end very badly for Pakistan.

Hazrat Ali narrates that the Holy Prophet (swa) said:
" A time will come when nothing will remain of Islam except its Name, and nothing will remain of the Quran except its Script.
Mosques will be full of woreshippers but as far as righteousness is concerned they will be emty.
Their Ulemas (religious scholars) will be the worst creatur...es under the Sky.
Evil will plot from them and to them it will return."

Well, that was interesting. Maybe if more people like this spoke up, some "Muslim" extremists would have a change of heart.
