The only problem I have with the new game/generation is that the majority of the new pokemon look like complete jokes :/

The battle system, region, gym, graphics, etc. is pretty much AWESOME and much more evolved than the previous gen's.

What I REALLY hate is that they apparently did not include POKEMON FOLLOWING you (please prove me wrong) and that you can't transfer poke eggs as soon as you get your dex. Not fair I need to be stuck with these :|

Don't wait for the 3DS, there are thousands of games available for the DS right now. I will probably buy a 3DS in 2012 when there are more games and the prices drop.

DS lite advantages are: GBA slot for interactivity in Pokémon D/P/Pt/HG/SS, cheap

DSi advantages are: 2 cameras, more CPU power, RAM
