@Natanthe6th ...it may smell bad on you...its just your chemistry. its like saying red suits you and you like how the colour looks its same with fragrance. When I wear No5 I get a tonn of compliments from people of all ages. I love chance too...but which one? there are three scents now.

@marani1970 I never tried it on me (but on a paper strip in a perfume store). When I want to buy perfume I am not going to spray every fragrence I want to try on me :)

But yeah, I'll just try it on me once. Indeed perfume smells different when you wear it.

@Natanthe6th. well it wasnt created for paper. just ask for a sample. to take home with you..and while you are at it. ask for Eau Premiere...a newer softer version of No5. good luck.

If she did a commercial for Chanel when she was alive, it would have been in print. I have never seen any Chanel #5 advertising with Marilyn Monroe in the ad when she was alive. If she had, most certainly the company who owns Chanel would have brought it out since then since she is more famous now than she was then and she was very famous when she was a movie star. When you are a household name, you are famous.
