the car was coming back down before he hit newman, if newman wasn't there he would have just hit the wall, circumstance is all it was, all the right variables in the right place for that to happen. not being able to go below yellow line, brad thinking of what happen to regan smith, brad holding his line,edwards trying to block, newman not slowing down to get around him and hitting him at that moment, all variables in this crash. a victim of circumstance
well on a superspeedway like daytona and talladega the way they slow the cars down is by making the holes in the restrictor plate smaller and if they make the holes in the plate even smaller it will make the cars rely on drafting more and more and that would make the whole 43 car feild 1 big tight draft pack, and when you have 43 cars runnin so close to each other you just creat alot of wrecks so slowing the cars down would just creat more big crashes

Brad Keselowski did nothing wrong. The only thing that he did was he followed the rules and did not go under the yellow line. Carl didn't do anything wrong either. He was trying to keep his position to win the race. that was a racing accidents.
My dad went to this race, he was 50M from the crash. A few people were treated for minor injuries and 2-3 people actually were life flighted becuse of broken bones
the guy who was second was driving straight, the guy in front turned left and clipped the second car. This is just like real life driving, if you turn into someone going straight its your fault.
I watched this happen live and couldn't believe what I saw and then during the replay, Mike Joy says he saw no debris go into the grandstand. How could he not??? That car was obliterated and all that sheet metal from the front of his car, and Newman's was airborne and went over the fence. The fences might be too short, thats all.

My dad went to this race, he was 50M from the crash. A few people were treated for minor injuries and 2-3 people actually were life flighted becuse of broken bones

I watched this happen live and couldn't believe what I saw and then during the replay, Mike Joy says he saw no debris go into the grandstand. How could he not??? That car was obliterated and all that sheet metal from the front of his car, and Newman's was airborne and went over the fence. The fences might be too short, thats all.

Brad Keselowski won this fair and square! Carl Edwards did his job and tried to block him and win the race its unfortunate that it happened with Edwards flipping into the fence but all in all the best race I have seen since Dale jr winning the Pepsi 400 at Daytona in July 2001!!! Great race this sunday

actually it started during the alcohol proabition, people were smuggling moonshine and they would race to see who get to a place the fastest while eluding police.
