I can hold my breath underwater. Its just the feeling of the water going into my ears and eyes irritates me.. I gotta have earplugs all the time

If I understand you correctly, yes, once you jump in, you just hold your breath and the water pushes you back to the surface. Hold your nose when you jump in, or wear a nose clip.
