@warheadrecordsaus Oh just my own haha. Shit yeah on Warhead Records. Great label, and the the Hammerhouse out in Para was fantastic! I remember the shop dog was called Fenriz and he barked at people in hoodies.
I'm sooo behind watching you guys' videos: Dom/Lastalot is gone??? Too bad!! He made fun videos. Btw, I have the same DEMONS release (mine is a Betamax though). I have ROTOR on Danish ex-rental. xD
I remember the cool vhs artwork for Demon Wind, if I remember it was lenticular. The VHS stuff is great, Dom is an awesome guy! I haven't bought any vhs movies in a while, but I broke down and bought a bunch of Coffin Joe vhs' off ebay this morning haha. The two zombie movies you got with the free shipping sound interesting, you'll have to let us know how they turned out. Awesome update!!!
@hellachrisok I think I've seen the US cover for Demon Wind. The Laserdisc has AMAZING art, there is one on eBay now. I'm hopeful Mulberry St. and Apocalypse of the Dead are decent.
rotor thats a blast from the past, ive still got the rca columbia red box vhs release, a poor mans robocop. is that body count a uncut print, it was cut to bits over here, just picked up another copy of blood tracks from our local x records. they like a big old certification tab on the aussie releases, harry brown good little uk flick. demon wind need to check out, thats some collection mate.
@dawnsbrother68 Nice one on the RCA ROTOR tape. Not sure yet on the tape, I think it's uncut. It's 86 minutes and the OFLC lists no cuts, but that doesn't always mean it's not as we bought a lot of pre-cut masters from the UK. Demon Wind was a great time!
Nice one, man! I don't collect movies on VHS anymore, but some of the artwork is much cooler than on DVDs and Blu-rays. By the way, your mancave looks great!
@CinemaniacSeventy7 Thanks mate haha, loving my mancave. Really want to get the rest of my posters up but need to do something about protecting them first. VHS artwork totally reigned supreme!
Hey Simon. Love your mancave. So jealous of Bodycount, lucky you for getting that. That Exorcist digibook is very nice and I want to get it sometime. Can't wait to see Tucker vs Dale when my Amazon order arrives.
@ANDREWBALLINA Yeah Bodycount should be sweet. I'm sure there is a DVD of that available too. The Exorcist digi is great stuff, a worthy upgrade from our local edition. Tucker and Dale was hilarious!!
Just for a point to be made. For those that preach about downloads and digital media and all of that. There is NOTHING to compare to looking at a shelf or wall filled with video tapes, DVDs, Blu Rays, CDs, records, even laser discs. It's a lot better feeling to see your library displayed in that fashion than to have a bunch of files perilously organized on a hard drive that may or may not throw a tantrum the next time you power it up.
@CSAlmanac And a very good point there! I have no interest in purchasing digital files. I want discs, I want tapes.. I want covers! Most people think I'm crazy still buying physical media - I buy CDs and immediately import them to iTunes, rarely playing the actual CD - but hey, I still like having the originals on the shelf!
@ExplosiveAction A lot more people still like it than a many realize. Look at the boost vinyl record sales have seen from the 16-39 crowd recently. If I am going to pay for something, I want professional quality and professional packaging. I only turn to the download route when the product I am searching for is just too hard to come by (such as the Twister movie score...finally gave in after a year of searching and just downloaded it x-(
From memory the 'Blood Tracks' video had a trailer for 'Street Trash' before it. Spent years hunting for 'Street Trash' as a kid, not sure if it was banned in Qld but it was near impossible to find up there.
I didn't mind 'Do You Like Hitchcock?', it has low production values being a made for TV movie but it's definitely one of the best of the worst of his later films.
'Harry Brown' was great, think you'll thoroughly enjoy that one!
Where does the cat sleep !?. Nightmare At Noon is a Gem, you'll love it :) . Harry Brown is a Classic Seventies throwback, almost homage, nod to Caine as Harry Palmer doing a Death Wish !. Apocalypse Of The Dead is a Blast, really had Fun with this Croatian Zombie flick. Mulberry Street is a refreshing Horror. Really like this. It's really more of a werewolf type / rat infection movie & not a Zombie flick. Works better for it with this too. You will enjoy. Delta Force flicks YAY :) .
@buckaroobanzai No cats in this room. Harry Brown has had nothing but rave reviews from everyone I know who has seen it. And I couldn't turn down Delta Force flicks at 1p each. 3&4 seem to be lost in transit as they were from the same seller as 5.
Do you own your own video rental store or is this strictly for your own viewing?
