@tenPMstriker Technically, play was blown dead as a result of the goal. So since the puck was not in play, there wasn't any rule prohibiting all of them from celebrating it on the ice. So I would say it was a mere technicality that kept them from getting penalized for it.

no with a goalie on the ice the soviets couldn't put an extra attacker so they should've pulled myshkin and put in an extra attacker for offense and try for the tie but remember the soviets at this time were so used to dominating world hockey that when they gave up eruzione's goal and were down all of a sudden they forgot how to mount a comeback

@drummersaredabest I don't think so buddy. If the USA could push 2 goals passed him, they could do more. After all, they got far in the olympics, not to mention winning the medal when they were horrible the year before. Herb Brooks was a terrific coach. He knew how to train these guys.
