Advance Australia Fair is a piece of tripe. There, I said it.

I can't decide which is worse, the melody or the words. They've arranged it to death, thrown in the choir and the orchestra, even had very good singers performing it and still it doesn't sound nice.

As for the words, they come down like a ton of bricks. Trite and uninspiring, it doesn't give voice to how we feel about Australia, whereas this song does, rather eloquently and beautifully.
