that blonde girl in the front was a hot dancer ;)... i think i even saw her catch Rons eye a few times x) ... she certainly did me ... aww to only have been apart of this rockin time ....^^... x(
I saw Ron Asheton play live 4 times: with Destroy All Monsters at CBGB in June 1979, (my first visit to NYC, two years before I moved here), with Dark Carnival at Maxwell's in Hoboken sometime in the early 90s, with J. Mascis and the Fog at a club in Tribeca whose name I can't recall whenever they toured, (late 90s? early 2000s?), and finally with the Stooges at Jones Beach in 2003. I feel privileged to have seen him play.
Bill Brown here, formerly of the Ann Arbor News. As best as I can determine, this gig took place on 18 February 1983. See youshouldhaveheard.blogspot.com for more info.
@marcopivet That's because she has no talent and was among the worst singers ever given a mic. Ron wanted to screw her, otherwise she never would have been in this company. Mike left and formed THE RITE about a month after this, he could take no more! I can't blame having been in the Rite with him. Ron & Niagara never forgave me, I'm so glad.
@marcopivet One line she's singing is, "Jackie, Jackie! Hold on to his brains!" Of course, she's referring to Jackie Kennedy and "his" brains are those of her husband, JFK.
These are the only two songs I transfered from this show. I'll need to dig out the VHS to see if they did "Nobody Knows".
The tape broke before I got anything converted so I had to repair it to get these and I'm hesitant to play the tape again until I'm ready to transfer it to digital media. I really enjpyed the version Kyoto Cutout played Saturday and it shouldn't be too long before that is posted. Thanks for the comment. Dan
I think it's so cool and fun that people are dancing to this!

Niagara was so sexy.
'83 was a hard year for punk. Even The Ramones softened up due to the MTV wave.
Cool and rare video, thx for posting *thumbs up*

Hey Oswold, don't you know... its a government plan, you've been banned
why'd you go to Dallas, and leave me all alone?
you sounded kind of nervous on the telephone.
Telescopic rifle, aimed toward his car....
Jackie tried hard to avoid the ????

Now if only could find a band pumping out these riffs in San Francisco...
