  • I think it's so cool and fun that people are dancing to this!

  • that blonde girl in the front was a hot dancer ;)... i think i even saw her catch Rons eye a few times x) ... she certainly did me ... aww to only have been apart of this rockin time ....^^... x(

  • I saw Ron Asheton play live 4 times: with Destroy All Monsters at CBGB in June 1979, (my first visit to NYC, two years before I moved here), with Dark Carnival at Maxwell's in Hoboken sometime in the early 90s, with J. Mascis and the Fog at a club in Tribeca whose name I can't recall whenever they toured, (late 90s? early 2000s?), and finally with the Stooges at Jones Beach in 2003. I feel privileged to have seen him play.

  • The real class here is Ron Asheton's guitar.

  • whoa cool...glad i stumbled on it!...these new cats have forgotten what real music is/was

  • ***"Nov 22nd 1963"***

  • Everybody talks in english! I'm french and i like this music too. Serial rock'n'roll ! No commercial, but only soul and life.

  • Niagara is the hottest thing ever.

  • @TurboRamone999 Certainly could be true Turbo but the hottest thing about Niagara is her mind.

  • @WizardOLivonia Yeh, Pull the other one.

  • Wasn't she a prostitute before singing in D.A.M.? I remember rumors like this in early '80's

  • 1/6/2009 - 1/6/2011...Ronnie Forever!!!

  • I really appreciate it now that people are cracking open their vhs archives!

  • Thanx a heap Wizard, this band never got the props they so richly deserved! Ron Asheton RIP indeed!

  • Bill Brown here, formerly of the Ann Arbor News. As best as I can determine, this gig took place on 18 February 1983. See youshouldhaveheard.blogspot.com for more info.

  • Niagara was so sexy.

'83 was a hard year for punk. Even The Ramones softened up due to the MTV wave.

Cool and rare video, thx for posting *thumbs up*

  • Awesome, absolutely fargen awesome - thanks for upload!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  • Ron Asheton is my hero. May he rest in peace.

  • i don't understand a fuckin word shes singing, but very good playing though... RIP, ron asheton!

  • @marcopivet Jackie...hold onto his brains.....

  • @marcopivet

Hey Oswold, don't you know... its a government plan, you've been banned

why'd you go to Dallas, and leave me all alone?

you sounded kind of nervous on the telephone.

Telescopic rifle, aimed toward his car....

Jackie tried hard to avoid the ????

    Bullet flew straight,shattered John's head

grey matter flew in a shower of red

  • @marcopivet That's because she has no talent and was among the worst singers ever given a mic. Ron wanted to screw her, otherwise she never would have been in this company. Mike left and formed THE RITE about a month after this, he could take no more! I can't blame having been in the Rite with him. Ron & Niagara never forgave me, I'm so glad.

  • @marcopivet One line she's singing is, "Jackie, Jackie! Hold on to his brains!" Of course, she's referring to Jackie Kennedy and "his" brains are those of her husband, JFK.

  • god damn this is stellar

  • Jackie! Jackie Kennedy! hold onto his brains

    love it

  • This band doesn't get the respect they need.

  • BAD ASS!

  • Like a time capsule! Thanks!

  • osstia!!

  • Awesome, thanks for posting.

  • Ron and Mike were great, but that drummer was kinda lousy. What happened to Rob King?

  • What's the name of the song??

  • November 22nd 1963> about Kennedy's assassination if I'm not stating the obvious.

  • Ron Fucking Asheton

  • ron was a GREAT!! person! this band rocks w/energy!!! thanx greatly for the post!!!!!

  • INCREIBLE!!

  • i love niagara.

  • I saw them twice live. One of the most relentless, powerful bands I've ever seen.

  • AMAZING

  • Thanks for the clip. Ron was my guitar hero and his work for DAM was amazing. I'd love to see more.

    RIP

  • Excellent! Thanks for posting! I was lucky enough to see Ron in Australia - truly one of the greats.

Now if only could find a band pumping out these riffs in San Francisco...

  • These are the only two songs I transfered from this show. I'll need to dig out the VHS to see if they did "Nobody Knows".

The tape broke before I got anything converted so I had to repair it to get these and I'm hesitant to play the tape again until I'm ready to transfer it to digital media. I really enjpyed the version Kyoto Cutout played Saturday and it shouldn't be too long before that is posted. Thanks for the comment. Dan

  • Thanks for posting all these great DAM clips, Dan. Did they play "Nobody Knows" this night?
