  • Japanese law allows them to become nationals, they don't want to! Btw, can a Korean vote in yr country? Assuming yr a Brit/Euro the answer is NO! Care to explain why not?

  • And bty, these people are Korean-Japanese not Japanese-Koreans, two different species altogether.

  • Basically, this is pure racism.

  • @Stektanudlar This is not racism.

If you're a foreigner in the States you'll not be allowed to vote.

Japanese citizens living in the EU cannot vote as well! Show me just one voting Japanese in the UK!

You’re talking bull. If they don't want foreigners voting in their country it's their right to do so.

  • @MrPeteDocherty Yeah, I'm sure you would accept that if you were a fourth generation Japanese Korean too.

  • @Stektanudlar A fourth generation Japanese-Korean would most probably be a Japanese only citizen (if I know Japanese well enough, and I think I do). If he wanted to vote in Korea he would become a Korean citizen and not try to impose his foreign nationality on the locals to begin with.

Koreans can vote in Korea if they like it so much.

  • @MrPeteDocherty "try to impose his foreign nationality"... lol. Xenophobia is ultimately the same as racism no matter how beautifully wrapped.

  • @Stektanudlar A fourth generation Japanese-Korean would most probably be Japanese only (I think I know enough J-plp). If he wanted to vote in Korea he would become a Korean citizen and not impose his foreign nationality on the locals.

Koreans can vote in Korea if they like it so much.

  • I understand this guy's argument, and I tend to agree with his basic stance, yet some of his reasons I think are weak. If the country the foreigner came from has nothing to do with it. If the foreigner gains citizenship then he may vote, that is all. I do think that Japan does have a problem though with discrimination against non-ethnic Japanese citizens and foreigners in general.

  • i like this guy - he is cuddly and makes me laugh. regarding his message, im not japanese but i believe he is 100% correct. only people who really support the peoples future( people who will live and stay in japan) should be able to vote. however having said all these i can only imagine its a pretty big blow to japan after being the ruling economy of the 80s. the dude's wife is mexican haha cool. anyway he makes it very clear. and he seems fair and just. i hope he runs your country one day.

  • @Fungusjones yep, been living here most of my childhood ^.^

    what about you?

  • @Fungusjones Sad but true >.>

I studied it in a so called "jap. culture institute" for two years, then did an exchange for one year (I'm still in high school now). Although it's waay harder to express yourself than to comprehend

  • @Fungusjones Saucy attitude? Why don't you go back to kindergarten and ask how to write ABC, boy? Or go and see your mama.

  • @lawrence5151 haha this is hilarious Fungusjones is agreeing with you and you're still attempting to bash him

thanks for these epic lulz you nazi

  • @Nyocurio Why don't you stuff yourself with sauerkraut and sausages before laughing in Birkenau, smart butcher?

  • @lawrence5151 I'm not even german lol. This is getting quite amusing

  • @Nyocurio Sie haben nicht Gehirns auf Ihre Muttersprache lernen?

  • @Nyocurio I see. A German physique with the third grade brain... I guess nobody will take him precisely for a German.

  • @lawrence5151 it's "with the brain of a third grader", lol wth is a "third grade brain"? xD

  • @Nyocurio You are still in the third grade, aren't you? lol

  • @lawrence5151

this is awsum plz bestow me with moar of this phail

  • @Nyocurio glad that you enjoyed it, 庵久郎. lol

  • @lawrence5151 if you have to write it then use the correct 漢字 pls

  • @Fungusjones Engage your cock in fighting next time after giving all illegals hiding in the States the instant voting right with no citizenship. You will see if your cock will still fight against the Trojan horse.

  • @Fungusjones My point is your expatriates in Japan are not like yourself.

  • @Fungusjones Your Korean expatriates somehow demand the voting right without naturalization in Japan. It's unthinkable for them to behave like that in the States, isn't it? Or, do you know some Koreans who try to get the same deal in the States?

  • If I'd have to comment each of the arguments he states I'd probably need 20 times the size of a comment box.

But there's one thing that bugged me, which was when he said "It is easy to obtain Japanese citizenship". From what I know that citizenship is one of the most difficult to obtain? Someone told me, that even with a permanent visa you have to live there like 10 years or so =/

  • @Nyocurio From what I've heard it's 5 years. And how is that a big deal? If a foreigner wants citizenship, I'd assume they plan on living there long term.

  • @fkingface What the Japanese government in office is trying to do is to give the voting right to anybody without naturalization. Also, the current process of naturalization in Japan does not require applicant to have any oath of allegiance to Japan. It's like the Congress to grant the voting right to all illegal Mexicans as soon as they came across the border. Likewise, are you for granting all Chinese and Koreans travellers soon as they land in LA.

  • @lawrence5151 How about doing your homework first.

They want to give voting rights to PERMANENTLY residing foreigners, that's a completely different situation.

Voting right == owning the state?? This is just like a 5-year-old would reason.

If you'd live in my house I'd give you voting right as to what's for dinner.

  • @Nyocurio No matter how long you live in a country, you will not be a citizen. You tell that in the States and Canada, and you will be shipped back to a kindergarten. isn't that why Jews were disposed? The voting right is not conditional unlike right to decide your sausages.

  • @lawrence5151 I'll say this once and for all, please educate yourself. Even a high school should do.

"No matter matter how long..." google for "American citizenship" and you will find the steps to apply for citizenship.

Remark about jews -> please don't talk about things you have zero information on. And that "sausages" thing is completely inappropriate, it just shows how much you know about Germany. You know, there are many Germans that think Japanese eat cats and dogs. You're just like them.

  • @Nyocurio Why don't you educate yourself before telling others to do so. I think even elementary schooler will do. Those Koreans want to have voting right without citizenship. Well, Jews have their own place in history. You can not see history without them unless you want to avoid them. I am sure there are obviously more than fair share of ignorant German that think Japanese eat cats and dogs as you do.

  • @Nyocurio Your intellectual level is really questionable, isn't it?

"Voting right == owning the state" will happen. Bring two strangers into your house and take vote among three of you as for who should own the house. You will easily loose your house.

  • @lawrence5151 Ok, that has nothing to do with my comment...

  • @Nyocurio So, I continue to live in your house for 5 years, could I own your house? Give me you address.

  • sounds alot like whats going on here in the states with mexico and the american southwest

  • ramchip, if they like living in Japan so much, why don't these people get Japanese citizenship.

  • @zxcvmnb1 They have ulterior motives. They have concerted effort by the Korean government for the interference of Japanese government policies. In today's world,

war comes in various forms. The communists are engaging in the winning war without weapons. That's their preference. Look at Tibet and East Turkistan.

  • I think mm9hp5md's comment is right on the point. Chinese (and other foreigners) living in Japan are there because they like living in Japan more than China. Why would they want to move to some place in Japan and have it turned to Chinese control? That would put them back under a government which they hate.

  • @ramchipYou don't know about Chinese residents in the States. It's said a lot of them are engaging in the espionage for China according to FBI. The people's psychology is a lot more complicated than you would think. On one hand, they may not like what the communists are doing. On the other, they have sense of Nationalism. Even though they may like living in Japan, they would like more to live in Japan as the master, wouldn't they? Like Chinese on Tibetan's land.

  • Mr.Fujii is absolutely right. Voting right shuldn't be given to foreigners. There will be a huge disadvantages if this comes true. Japanese Gov is insane that is over powerd by communist-like perty. How can absurd Koreans and Chinese have the right to ask for?!

  • In the case of Japan, many Koreans and Chinese immigrants act against Japan,

which is not simply caused by their loyalty to their country of origin. They do so by the order of their gov. and hostility toward Japan and Japanese.

  • itll undermine patriotism like in the U.S.. Immigrants that becomes U.S citizens remains loyal to their country of origin. Voting on issues becomes ultradivisive and can be manipulated

  • Japanese society has constantly been exposed to threat of Korean espionages and Koreans' distructive plots. How can we grant voting right to these malicious foreigners?

  • In the term called "kyosei-renkou", Koreans claim that Korean residents in Japan were peremptory brought to Japan against their will during Japan-Korea annexation period. IS THERE ANY KOREANS PEREMPTORY BROUGHT TO JAPAN? NO! THEY CAME TO JAPAN FOR THEIR INTEREST.

  • These Koreans' ve also controlled education in Japan and have implanted a variety of false war guilts into Japanese children. The typical false war guilts that they've made up are "kyosei-renkou" and

    "jugun-ianfu".

  • Koreans in Japan also act as espionages for S. Korean gov. They have stolen military defense secrets from Tsushima JSDF. Both Korean gov. and Koreans in Japan atrocioulsy claim Japan's native islands as their own.

  • Both Mindan and Souren members have deeply and widely penetrated into Japanese society and have manipulated Japanese Mass Media, Law makers, Political parties, bureaucrates and so on.

  • Dr. Fujii should discuss about "Mindan" in Japan which is S.Korean lobby organization funded by S. Korean gov. Also " Souren" in Japan which is N. Korean lobby organizaion whose members have committed Japanese Nationals abduction.

  • The thought that the majority of Special Status Foreigners could be Communist Sympathisers--and therefore pose a threat to conquer parts of Japan--is ridiculous. Most of them are clearly in Japan as they love being in Japan.

That being said, I'm not convinced strongly either way about granting or not granting voting rights, but I don't see much harm if they were to be granted these rights.

It would be a progressive policy that may be seen as an exemplary expression of freedom to be proud of.

  • I disagree with the following points:

    1) Foreigners don't have the duty to defend Japan: Japan's constitution forbids the country to go to war, so this argument is a bit pointless. Nobody has to defend the country if they don't want to.

    2) 'They could easily invade cities if they all migrated to a city with a low population, by installing Chinese or Korean mayors', and Special Status Foreigners are a threat: I don't think they are a threat, as they choose not to live in their country.

  • Korean : Racist!!!!

other foreigners : It makes sense.

therefore, we can say that chukumsung is a korean.

  • GO GO -Fujii ......

  • I think that the foreign suffrage bills is a violation of our constitution and right. It will be ruin of our value of a vote and legal status.

It is scary that American call China "Greater China"...

Korean residents who require voting rights say they pay taxes, therefore they are granted for voting rights. However, paying taxes and voting rights have nothing to do with. The taxes are the prices for police services, public services etc.
