  • Muy bello :)

  • Is that Gooches? Thats where i go... never seen any waves that big... Sick man... im 11 and been surfing since i was 6

  • I hate duck diving in winter

  • Comment removed

  • sooo sick...except this songs kinda depressing

  • Damm you mo fos rippin some cold waves out there... most guys would rather be kickin it in a hotel room with a bottle of Irish whiskey and a broad.. lol

  • 5 stars. Surfing in Maine at it's finest. Me and my dad surfed the waves from tropical storm ida and it was epic. I'm saying epic and I hate that word. That's how awesome it was.

  • Cold nuf ti shrivle ye nuggets

  • pritty mellow

  • the snow and ice on shore tells how cold. look up average water temp for january in maine.

  • Would you tell me the water temp that day?

  • yo are they always like this....i have never heard of surfing in maine. thought that it was just like all rocky

  • yeah it's very rocky and for experts only, but if you have local friends it rules. Like Ruggles!

  • Not true at all.. Check out Scarborough Beach. Not a rock in site. And Higgin's has some rocky outcroppings, but any novice could do it, as well. :)

We went out to Higgin's when Hurricane Bill hit and boy, was that intense!

  • Yeah those R good spots, but I was talking about northern Maine. All point breaks, but if you have the local knowledge 100-200 yard rides are possible during swells!

  • Dude, bullshit. I watched the waves at higgins all day, and nobody made it out the day they were breaking. There were a bunch of people trying, but no one made it past the break. There were a bunch of people the day before and after, but no one made it out after.

  • What day are you talking about, Rockinjohnnyfi

  • They are nice looking fun waves but that looks like 3-4ft maybe 5ft max on the sets, looks like heaps of fun tho.

  • haha alot bigger than that

  • this looks like 7 ft. at the most. i'm from jersey and i've seen some double overhead sets and this don't amount. it looks a bit mellow...still nice though, makes me want to surf maine, gotta love the cold right!

  • well it doesent matter where the video was taken from, the contrast of wave to surfer clearly indicates that it is not double over headb

  • get money like a motherfucker

  • Definitly more than overhead nice vid

  • who gives a shit its fucking big for maine and thats sick that you guys got to hit that up. I live on MDI and it never gets like this

  • i like how you made two comments in a row saying basically the same thing.. its kinda like you were having a conversation with yourself! have you ever considered a journal? cause on here if you have a convo with yourself, it makes you look like more of a faggot!

  • damn, i just watched the video again.. i was wrong, i apologize. actually i barely saw ANY wave overhead at all. one or two of them were maybe maybe one foot overhead. most waves were chest to head high. hahha. i guess thats the difference between surfing in the atlantic and surfing pacific ocean waves.

  • camera doesnt lie. i saw nothing in the video that was double overhead. one or two feet overhead yes.. double no. watch the video again and double the height of the tallest surfer on it.. not double.

  • yo kimojaco, STFU, i was there that day and i was also filming.. it was double overhead.. and you should have picked that up by the graph he gave you in the beginning of the vid. 18+... suck it and pay attention next time!

  • uh, i watched the whole video.... what happened to the double overhead waves that the caption described??

i see a couple waves a foot or two overhead... but double? come on.

  • kimojaco, these waves really were double overhead on this day...Just to let you know this video was taken from a car with a digital camera(no tripod). The video doesn't really show how big they really were.

  • @kimojaco

and the caption actually says "With gusty offshore winds and overhead waves, this made for an epic day."

overhead being the operative word you pickle.

  • @kimojaco

I surf this beach, and those were definitely larger than they appear in this vid

  • @andrewulysses were the people smaller than they appear in relation to the wave?

  • kennebunk beach?

  • IS THAT MAINE RAP?

  • The water was wayy colder than that on this day. It was the day after a good sized snow storm. The water was probably about 38 degrees, the coldest it gets. The music is by Aesop Rock. they are not from Maine. I'm not sure where they are from. Thanks for watching.

  • oh dude i watched this video like 75 times and i loved it but what happened to the old song can you change it back it was so freaking sick?

  • that water looks like 50. man that's cold, Maine doesn't get much warmer that 65 in august

  • wow this is one of the best videos ive seen in new england!! Good work!!

  • When is someone going to make a video of shortsands in York when it is going off?

  • Pumping, great vid and sound

  • thanks appreciate it

  • goodbye arizona. matt
