Yeas the 3d will work if you plug the card to a television via HDMI

To see 3d in your 3d monitor, you can´t use the HDMI cable, but the dual dvi one.

@Hekynn I would think so considering nividia came out with play for 3dtvs allowing gamers to play 3d content through them. Researching it now on the nividia forums i don't think the 400 series gpus do it. Just search around, but i do believe they would other wise why would they come up with a software to play on hdtv's.

This monitor is for who wants to see 3D movies, and for PC Players, who want the 120Hz for online "vantage".

@escovinha0 Cheers :), ye its just i currently own the asus vw246h and i find that the AA, i think its called that :L, is i bit rubbish when played through games consoles, maybe just dew to the fact that its an old monitor?! I was thinking either to go with this or a panosonic veira, I do own a 3D nividia gpu as well and love games on my monitor, stuning more or less, but im also a kean xbox player, stuck between a 3d monitor and a 3d hdtv. And i heard plasmas are crap for pc's?!

Honestly this monitor is beast but MAKE SURE IF YOU OWN IT TO TURN ON ACM ON in your settings. Makes the colors and pictures amazing contrast ratio will not be 100 million to 1 with out it ONNN

@Yeti22 i have a gtx 570 super clocked which is similar to the 480 i beleive mine is better by 5 frames on average and have this monitor graphics are great and i get about 40- 50 fps in Black ops max settings

I also think people need to learn the difference between LED's and LCD's. LED's = small lights. LCD's = display panels typically backlit by a form of cathode. I think the term you're looking for is an LED Backlit LCD..... not an LED monitor. an LED monitor would be like staring at a Lite-Bright.

I was ecstatic when I first saw this monitor on nvidia's site. I would have bought this monitor in a heartbeat, for I always wanted a 27" 120Hz refresh display for my computer, the only problem that I have with this is:

@ycagelza Why does LED even matter other than the power consumption? LED != OLED. LED just means the backlight; most monitors are flourescent backlit - it'll have a shorter life, but realistically you shouldn't ever see the backlight fail. I know I've not.

It's probaly gonna have very poor black level and backlight bleeding as most of the other fancy gaming monitors. WHy should this one be different.

@tdaness Actually LG is working on a 23'' 240hz IPS, where they combine the 120hz with scanning backlight. The new came out in november. But there are not much information about it still/yet.

This might just be the perfect upgrade for me (currently using 27" ultrasharp and didn't really want to dive back down the screen size when moving to 3d).

I still need to find out though if the glasses work well even if close (ish) to the screen as mine would be mounted in a fixed rig (mostly fixed chair too). It also need to not cost the earth :) I only got my ultrasharp because it was (relatively) cheaper than normal at the time.

Ah - read on your blog the SRP is looking to be approx. 689 euros.. I guess that's not so bad coming with a built-in emitter and pair of glasses (else for another monitor you'd be forking out 120 quid for that anyway).

Yes, this monitor supports HDMI 1.4a so PS3 and other 3D-capable consumer electronic devices can be plugged in to it and display 3D content on it, just like you would do with a 3D HDTV.
