I loved all episodes but thought the 2nd the Blind Banker was a bit confusing. I also really liked the length and present day versions of classics. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how they deal with The Hound of the Baskerville story.
Definitely agree, as much as I love Doctor Who, Sherlock sets a new standard for television in general. Cannot wait to see the Second Series Premiere on Sunday.
I STILL haven't got the DVD yet of Series 1. I've picked it up countless times in shops, but always put it back due to money reasons. I really should get it before Series 2 starts to refresh my memory, plus you can pick it up for about £8 now lol. No reason not to get it.
I agree. The series is brilliant. In addition to the story updates and spot on casting, I love the look and cutting of the series and the way it makes London a character in the story. (BTW... while mentioning Afghanistan sounds like a modern adaptation, the original stories also have Watson serving in that country.)
Glad you and I are on the same page, when it comes to Sherlock. It absolutely took my by suprise on how good it is. It was a really bold move to end "The Great Game" on a cliffhanger, since they had no idea back then, if they would be even back for a second series. Mark Gattis as Mycroft is just bloody brilliant. Cumberbatch and Freeman were the perfect choice for Sherlock and Watson. Can't wait for series 2. Hugs, Dome
