i have only played mgs 1,2&3 never 4 but want to. it is mgs 1 was liquid that was the main boss in mgs2 it was liquid ocelot and in mgs3 it was a extremely youg version of ocelot by the way its 2012 and i still love playing mgs 1 2 & 3 they are great games

Part 2 Liquid get uber-cheap super punch P3 Liquid get unblockable headbutt and that's as far as I could get cause snake has no way to regain health without Liquid healing. D oyou really not understand this? These are two characters that have been fighting through the entire series. Think of it as flashbacks. They are fighting through each and every form they have ever taken, Snake always remaining a constant, Liquid / Ocelot has always changed. MGS 1 was just Liquid as the main bad guy, MGS 2 was Ocelot, MGS 3 was Big boss and Ocelot again, MGS4 Was Liquid Ocelot. They are basically fighting because thats all they have done.

I think MGS4 represents itself well as an interactive story, and it's been that way since the moment you were forced to pull the trigger in MGS3, an agonizing moment after a battle similar to this one.

Kojima knows how to make games- he is a masterful director and the only reason this game seems so talky is because he had a ( lot ) of stuff to explain that would've made no sense otherwise.

I think this game is just beautiful. Snake wussing out during the epilogue bothered me, though...

@intheTea04, MGS3: Snake Eater was actually based on Bond movies/games and there is also Two halves of proof!!

Proof #1: In the Intro of Snake Eater as you can see there are a lot of things similar just like in James Bond Movies!

Proof #2: If you ever play Snake Eater, and after the fight with (young) ocelot, Snake (Big Boss) jumps into some kind of cave and if you go to "RADIO" and Select "PARA-MEDIC" then they will mention James Bond and talk a whole lot of it!

This is a final boss battle, and in tradition of making most final boss battles hand to hand combat to make it more epic he did an okay job. I guess this game isn't perfect enough for you. Just completly ignore the first 15 hours of this games excelence and pick on one small segment of gameplay that doesn't even last ten minutes.

MGS1 Liquid Snake and Solid Snake. MGS2 Solidus Snake.

MGS3 Naked Snake (Big Boss).

MGS4 Old Snake (AKA SOLID SNAKE) - hence the reason for all the flashbacks throughout MGS4.

Very epic ending for a very epic series. MGS definitely has one of the best storylines and gameplay out there. The only thing I dislike about MGS4 is all the cutscenes. It's like every 2 minutes! Other than that - EPIC!

Umm... I think you should play through the MGS series again.

Old Snake = Solid Snake, he's older because of his genes

Liquid Ocelot = Ocelot with Liquid's arm and Liquid took control over Ocelot's body ( i'm not going to spoil anything else )

Naked Snake = Big Boss, the guy you killed in Zanzibar Land in Metal Gear 2

Also Naked Snake lost his eye because of Ocelot, not The Boss.

And in Peace Walker we'll probably see some sort of explanation for the different ''Big Bosses''
