There's something about these machines that are far more appealing than a bus or bus route for that matter.. Imagine having a subway running right outside your door, permanently & reliably... whisking you to the city or directly to the major mass transit hub, as opposed to an unreliable & jolting bus.. just seems better. I've had the pleasure of using them in Philadelphia, it was a very pleasant experience. it's an old idea that can serve an even better purpose today..
The numbered lines (7 & 6) ran in Westchester County, originating in Yonkers. The letter lines (A & B) ran in the Bronx. Note that at 2:16, the trolley goes under the New York Central overpass.
Does anyone know the date/location of these films?
@boazrg Well, if you vote for bums like Giuliani and Bloomberg, that's what you get. Now they are talking about shoehorning that mick Ray Kelly, the police commissioner, as the next mayor.

This was when New York was a great place to live. Not so anymore, Too bad.

@anghmho NYC is just one big ghetto now. Unless you're a millionaire or you're on welfare, there's
no way an ordinary family can live in New York City any more. (And all this has come about in my lifetime!)
