  • BETTER THAN JAY Z DONT YOU THINK?

  • wow i grew up in a time when video quality was like THIS

  • They used stoves to record in the 80s.

  • Even though Don Cornelius didn't quite except rap music he dealt with it just for the fans sake. He gave the people what they wanted and thats why Soul Train lasted as long as it did. This video shows that Don was outta his comfort zone.

  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip From The 497th Edition Of "Soul Train" On March 22, 1986.

  • You're a bad man when your hype man. Can stand their a just hold a radio.

  • ask Lil wayne to rock a crowd like this.

  • i remember ll cool jay--- the movie krush growith ove it...kool..with run dmc - fat boys- 1980s was da shit

  • You'll aways be GOAT.....

  • Damn man...what ever happened to earl? lmao

  • @Seethroo not really funny in what your asking, but i'll try to explain....according to L.L., {upon his second return to "soul train"} earl got involved in a "questionable lifestyle", & was never heard from again.. when he [L.L.] did see him, {again} earl told L.L. that he wanted no more to do with .L.L.'s "pipe dream" of being an international rapper, as he thought L.L., was going nowhere, & would be back in the projects, real soon.... [p.1]

  • @syndicate1

To be fair.... LL's career took a massive hit between 1987-89 when the two albums "Bigger and Deffer" and "Walking with a Panther" were rubbished by the critics so he nearly he did end up back in the projects. But when LL dropped "Mama Said Knock You Out" that soon changed!

  • @Seethroo with that said, LL, went about his life, & left earl to his own "devices"....Earl went off into that questionable lifestlye, fading into the gray, {as well as obscurity} & was never heard from again.... And james todd?... Well?... We all know, what has become of him.....[p.2]

  • @theInfamous3 DONT REMOVE SHIT. IT ISNT HIS CLIP EITHER. DUDE IS MAD PSYCHO. HE MESSAGED ME THREATENING ME BECAUSE I TOLD HIM THIS WASN'T HIS CLIP EITHER LOL.

  • Damn LL was 18 rockin shit, real hip hop on Soul Train, LL had crossover appeal even then, not a whole lot of rappers was on Soul Train back then. Don ain't know what to say to Cool J.

  • @Sameolg100 lol Don was feeling the Generation Gap. "I enjoyed your art." Alright how many y'all went out and got a Kangol hat on the strength of double L?

  • "My story is rough, my neighborhood is tough but i still sport gold, and i'm out to crush" LL was hip hops Lebron, young, raw, with star talent.

  • @Sameolg100 He was Hip Hop's Michael Jordan-nothing less!

  • classic ll.

  • Nah, just give props like u did for f**kthatnamethang for the gang starr clip.

  • Let it be known that this is MY clip you got here on Youtube. I uploaded this almost a year ago.

  • Yo did LL remain loyal to E and Cut Creator when he really blew or did he get "too good" for them, you know how it go son.

  • i think cut creator just didnt like the path he was headed down with all the love songs n shit so he just decided to not work with him anymore.

  • L always made them joints, I Can Give You More; I Want You; I Need Love. Bigger & Deffer(87) was the last time Cut and E were mentioned. Right after that Bobcat rocked "Jack the Ripper" I read that him and Cut still tour, but that doesn't speak of what happened. I wanna know what happened to E that was his man since childhood. Cut could still DJ but E's job wasn't a skilled position so where could he go after L, the game had enuff cats "postin up" lookin tuff so I wonder what E did to eat?

  • they dont say what happened. maybe thy just grew apart or ll got caught up in fame and fortune and outgrew them. u knwo how it is wen a cat gets famous.

  • LL's father fired E before the walking with a panther album. Cut Creator and BobCat are still down.

  • is ll s dad like his manager or something? what was bobcat and cut doing after BAD?

  • Cut Continued to tour with him. Bobcat worked with West coast acts in the 90's but they are still Cool. LL' s pops came back in his life after BAD and he became his manager. He was soon after let go because he put LL in trouble with the IRS.

  • I went to Junior High with LL and E Love(real name:Cleone). When Walking with a Panther came out, I was stationed in Japan with the Navy and was surprised that E wasnt down no more. In LL's autobio, he said this is when his dad became his manager.Around this time, I heard that E Love got shot up in New York so that maybe had something to do with it. I saw LL about 8 yrs ago at LAX and told him we went to school together. He said"word". I told him I was proud of him and he said "Thanks Man"

  • My man good inside scoop B, I was always curious as to was L a loyal dude or not.

  • LOL, anymore LL stories? Please share.

  • @saponumbreone E Love real name Is This Homie( damien earl matthias)So Get Your Facts Str8 Before You Start Posting An Oh Yeah He Has Mad A name For Himself

  • E-Love was sentenced to prison. I don't wanna say for what. But LL would of be sentenced with E but some how he walked. Not calling L a snitch but its strange that L didn't get sentenced with E Thats was suppose to be his childhood friend to.

  • ok so what happen or how much time e love get and what year do he go in

  • @mrpower328 bullshit i went to andrew jackson with l e never got locked up then he got blasted six times outside of a club in queens called the scene. E was making 5.000 dollars a show with ll back then and squandered all of his loot, remember all he did was stand on a stage what is l supposed to do keep paying a person to stand on a stage e should have invested his money l is not responsible for adult men rememeber 5.000 a show 50 city tour international tour save your loot

  • @MrMikeydikey Whoa! who asked for your opinion? you a keyboard gangsta? stay outta grown folks' business!!!
