Just a working class lad from Liverpool. The money never changed him. He saw everyone for who they were as a person, regardless of background. I wish we had more George Harrisons around in today's world.
Martin Scorcese has just announced that he will be putting together a documentary on the life of George Harrison. Most likely it will feature much archival footage of the accomplishments of this wonderful man and his legacy.
Great video, we didn't listen to what music like this was telling us then. Now It seems chemtrails, false flag mass casualty events for militarization, patriot act, failure of bill HR2977 in 2002, coming solar events near 2012, the end of the Mayan calender. Music is good, but STORM THE GATES OF YOUR CAPITOL BLDG.! Do something, or WE die
Beautiful slide show video thank you for posting OP you selected very original and unique photos of George , each with a different expression and put them together very well Thanks again.
Of all the Beatles, George was the most musically inclined. All of the Beatles attested to George's musical abilities :-) . I must say though that Ringo is my favorite Beatle because...well, what is there NOT to like about Ringo :D !
Paul and Ringo are still alive. Ask them. I'm sure you'll find they do believe in God and are most likely Christians. But like you, I don't know. I only know what they've said in the past. I base it on that. My self I can't answer for them. I myself am a Christian and I'd like to believe they were or are to. But to each his own regardless of the day.
oh yeah and for the all the pp; clainming he was anitjesus or for those who claims he was a folower of christ, u guys have to remember that they had to be wast the public likes them to be thats how u get realy popular now days so they could of said they were this and they say that but realy they are that and they say this ive heard and done some research that they were anti christ but i might be wonrg so u guys go do some good non byst research ;)
jx14abe lol thats funy, but i descigreee go africa and to south american contrys they dont know the beatles but a lot of them know jesus cause of missionarys
Don't forget Japan, India, China, and everywhere else on the planet. Jimmy Carter said "In many countries around the world - my wife and I have visited about 125 countries, you hear John Lennon's song 'Imagine' used almost equally with national anthems."
Maybe so I don't know, but there's no question at one point in their lives they the Beatles all followed Christ. How do I know? Remember the comment Ringo made about Christ which caused them a lot of trouble and fans? Then he told the world as he, they, the Beatles should they were sorry for making the comment. So I'd say it's fair to say not all of his life was he a devout follower of Hare Krishna.
By far the strongest song writer and vocal of the fab 4 was George Harrison. I don't know if they were anti church or not. But I do know a lot of their songs or atleast George's dealt with Christianity.
No, none of his songs did. He was a devout follower of Hare Krishna until the time of his death. All of his songs delt with the Lord Krishna, not Christ. Not that they are any different as God is God is God (of course)...but his specific 'brand' of God was Eastern-based.
Don't forget Japan, India, China, and everywhere else on the planet. Jimmy Carter said "In many countries around the world - my wife and I have visited about 125 countries, you hear John Lennon's song 'Imagine' used almost equally with national anthems."
That song, and in fact the whole album got me through the transformation of coming straight out of the Army and going into college.. plus a lot of grass :)
Dear George thank you very much, you are the greatest musician ever, you help me to think of Krishna and of Srila Prabhupada in such a beautiful way that I could never repay you George, bless your beautiful soul, thankyou very much from Kurma dasa Australia (not the chef)
Yes, he ranks high up there in the "best" talented ones, as John Lennon -- John was very close to George, and they had very parallel viewpoints in the way of Peace and Love, and certainly were ones that just wanted all of us to "just get along"..... Peacefully, not critizing one another, just peaceful.....that's all.... why is it so hard for the majority to grasp that simplicity?
In heaven everyone must be happy to have you among them...listening to you gives me peace and a sensation of 100% LOVE..only God knows why you left us; but we have your sweet and peaceful. I am sure you found John already..Oh my God what a DUET!
Anyone know if this song was a left over he opted not to do for All Things Must Pass? Seeing as ATMP was a massive hit and had the potential for 5 or more top 10 singles and then this song was the only "great" song on the next album it makes one wonder.
as huge Beatles fan who thinks Georges Beatle songs are sub standard to John and Pauls I must say that this song and My sweet lord are the best songs of any beatle, before or after the break up
Well, he was stabbed in the lung i think punctured his lungs and that somehow that fueled his cancer in 1998 I think I read this somewhere so...(correct me if I'm wrong) :)
Well, unfortunatley he was a very heavy smoker, I truly believe if he had stopped smoking in his earlier years he would still be here blessing us with his wonderful music.

I love this song. George is brilliant. Hes so talented yet underrated. I love him. He is truly an amazing peron. Greatly missed. Peace And Love George!<33
The break up of the Beatles was not all bad, we got 4 times the music as a result. Too much music to put on one Beatles album with all the talent and songs like this would have been left on the cutting room floor. Who knows how many songs George wrote never made it to a Beatles album.
OMG!!!I don't understand why that all the songs i hear on radio i like is one of the ex-beatles member singing it?I feel like i have a connection with the beatles...but i can't see them face 2 face?*sobs*
What facts based this assumption ? On the foundation of a skyscraper or just a rumor ? Wasn't it a FAN who did him in ? IMO after many years of literal, musical,
political, & supporting structure I assume the opposite. Flaws of course. Bad days don't we all ?
In the end it was someone he was kind 2 that did him in. Oh George was very influenced by John. Sorry
This is going in my favorites. George is awesome. Yes, I did speak of him in present tense. He must smile to see all these generations looking back at his music with the Beatles, and solo stuff and they are still strong, and would blow away any of the stuff today. Hate the music of today. It all sucks! Well, few exceptions!
Yeah, I agree completely, but I think we need to stop romanticizing the past and look at what our music is providing us today, we have made it out of the rap phase for the most part and now are discovering a new sound.

Yesterday, Feb 24th was George's birthday. I've spent most of my day listening to his music. Thank you for helping me celebrate it - belatedly - with your vid collage!
Hi LadyPhilly and thank you for the comment. You are so right about him, in every way he was the quiet beatle with the loudest soul! Hi is sorely missed. ~Barb
I'm a huge Beatles fan;all Beatles!I listen to Andre Gardner's Breakfast with the Beatles on 102.9 WMGK in Philly.Today was George's 64th birthday,& I found your
video very appropriate, saved in my favorites.Thank you for such a beautiful video!
I know Andre Gardner's Breakfast with the Beatles and Magic 102.9, Philly's classic rock station. I have it as one of my favorite channels. It's amazing how the internet is as wide reaching as it is and yet you can stumble upon someone who's as close as your next door neighbor. :) Also, thank you for the compliment! ~Barb
P.S. Stay tuned, there will be more. I will invite you as a friend so you will receive messages in your bulletins, watch your messages for a note from me.
Hi Steve, well, it's for sure we love his music! This is the last George Harrison video, the last of my favorite George Harrison songs and the last of the images. :) ~Barb

Yesterday, Feb 24th was George's birthday. I've spent most of my day listening to his music. Thank you for helping me celebrate it - belatedly - with your vid collage!
