  • So I have a friend that is going to Syria for a "humanitarian" reason in the summer but is really going to join the rebels. Should I join him? He is a really good friend.

  • Ana is a feminist. the worst relationship advisor

  • As long as she is not compromising anything I think it should be ok. So even if they do break up she could say she didn't give anything up and its ok, plus shes in Puerto Rico enjoy your college years (safely).

  • @serpensortiia End of...debate. But then again maybe I was a bit harsh. You're young and in love. May you and the Boyfriend have a lovely Christmas.

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld You as well.

  • Comment removed

  • You should NEVER pick where you are giong to college because of a BF or GF...SO SO SO dumb :( Shouldn't even be 1% in your thought process in considering where you are going to go for your higher education...the failure rate is off the charts AND then she's no longer in the US no less. Dumb.

  • @DominusInfinitus ... Puerto Rico is part of the United States. You're the dumb one.

  • @serpensortiia Maybe you should hit up a Jr. College first come to think of it LMAO Puerto Rico is a Nation State of the United States...they are, in fact, their own country, with their own culture, speak the native language of Spanish, and have their own government. As a Nation State (similar to Guam) can vote in our Primary Elections, but since they are not actually a non-entity of the USA, they cannot vote in our Presidential Elections. Educate yourself girl...otherwise you look UGLY!

  • @DominusInfinitus ... did I ever say in what way it was part of the United States? No. I know for a fact that it's not "a nation state". It's an unincorporated territory. And intelligence has nothing to do with one's physical features. Sorry I'm not the completely retarded one here.

  • That girls head is fat and ugly.

  • Ana, the University of Puerto Rico has one of the best linguistics progs. in the world. It has Nick Faracklas, Marvyn Alleyne, Ann Albuyeh, and a bunch of top-level linguists. It also has a great English Lit. prog. that rivals Rutgers, and hands-down the best language acquisition educ. program in the world. It's law school and natural sciences programs are pretty good, and US corporations routinely recruit from its nationally top-ranked engineering program. Also, English is an official language.

  • @DrQuijano Oh, I forgot to mention - undergraduate credits are 50$ per credit hour and graduate courses go for 100$ per credit hour. Thats - oh - about 10% of universities in the US with substantially less ranking and far worse quality, like CSUN.

  • @DrQuijano Thank you for saying it. My boyfriend is an engineering student and they had their annual recruitment fair a few months ago which included Google, Microsoft, and large companies used by the US government. I'm honored to go to UPR.

  • how do u get with someone on facebook, I mean do you just scroll through pictures and send a random person a messege or something?

  • @SpecialJay3 Mutual friends.

  • Facebook lol

  • OMG, SAVE THE POOR WHITE INNOCENT CHRISTIAN GIRL...

BLA BLA BLA, SHE WANTS HER VAQGINA TO GET STUFFL BY A LATIN LOVER, CONGRATS!! ENOUGH WITH THE BULLSHIT, YOUR JUST TEHREFOR THE BROWN DICK

  • @elenavlada ... I'm not Christian. I'm atheist. And learn to spell "vagina" and "stuffed" right. Plus we've already had sex, so no biggie there. Stop being an ignorant prick and get a damn life.

  • @serpensortiia keyboard typos not spelling probs, hey girl, just keep safe!, thats a risk! hope it pays off

  • @elenavlada ... risk? What, the having sex or the going to a foreign country? Or the having a "foreign" boyfriend? Because none of those are any more risky than any other girl with any other boy (few exceptions that I'm not going to go into right now). Point is, I'll be fine.

  • @serpensortiia If you're from the US, saying that you have a "foreign" boyfriend from Puerto Rico is like saying that you have a "foreign" boyfriend from Detroit or Oregon.

  • @DrQuijano ... I'm not the one saying it. I'm implying that elenavlada is the one saying I have a foreign boyfriend. I never called him that.

  • @serpensortiia I wish you good luck as someone who is uneducated (well some high school) I wish you the best of luck and I know how it is to like someone from another country.

However I can not go to said country as I am focused myself on moving further away to start a new life.

And honestly? So what if your BF is one of the reasons?

As long as if something happens between you two that you wont be screwed if you need to rely on yourself in puerto rico while studying.

  • @DrQuijano No it is not. PR is part of the US commonwealth, but it is still a foreign country.

  • Low self esteem makes you move for other people.

  • @hungrycollegekid Fear of being alone in a foreign contry makes me move for other people. I'm not going out of my comfort zone without some sort of safety net, aka, friends and boyfriend. Suck it.

  • @serpensortiia I agree. If I had friends or a bf in another country I would take the opportunity to go and be there too. It's difficult to go live in another country where u don't know anyone. I have to go study abroad for my master's and I get chills thinking about it, considering I've never lived by myself, much less in another country. So forget the haters. If unfortunately u break up with him at some point, at least u're already gonna know how to get around and have some more friends there.

  • @DLis7 Thanks girl. ^_^ Where do you have to study, btw? But yeah, I've always wanted to study abroad, but the thought of going to a foreign place by myself scared the shit out of me. That's why I chose a college that's literally 20 minutes from my house. I'm not used to being alone, either.

  • @serpensortiia I moved with the exact same comfort zone a couple years ago. Girlfriend and friends. Guess what?? We broke up and I'm back to where I was with a year wasted. It happens to a lot of people. But then again you aren't like everyone else you're fucking bulletproof. Bullshit if you believe that for a second. You'll learn sooner or later.

  • @hungrycollegekid Because, you know, I'm GOING to end up breaking up with him. It's fucking inevitable. I'll be laughing in your goddamn face when I graduate and we're still together.

  • @serpensortiia I'll be happy for you if you do graduate and you're both still together. That'll be a very good thing to see. I'm just saying the stakes are higher when you're moved. I made it almost a year. I'm not saying you'll last a week and come back. I'm just saying I'll be surprised if you last til the time you graduate. Nevertheless, I wish you all happiness and the best of luck with this opportunity.

  • I can't see how going to College in Puerto Rico to Americans would be considered "Studying Abroad." Puerto Rico is actually part of the US.

  • disaster

  • @serpensortiia

    Good for you.

Ana should have paid more attention rather than just assume the worst. Who respond to a fan sending in a video in good faith by calling their decision a "disaster"?

  • @TheFounderUtopia I agree. I was pretty shocked that that's where they cut it without even mentioning the full reason behind it.

  • @serpensortiia

The clip was indeed cut in a weird place. Enjoy your trip, these are always worthwhile. Even if it was to follow your boyfriend, I don't see why it would be a "disaster". It's always nice to travel with friends, and a bf/gf is a friend also.

Cheers, and have a few drinks for us there.

  • @arsenelupin123 Thanks, and I will indeed!

  • @serpensortiia Okay fine, good explanation...but what if.. you really fell out with this guy? I would imagine that it would be torturous for me to be close to around someone that I no longer had feelings for. And you say yourself, you wouldn't want to be in a foreign country without any people to fall back on, which would be the case if you guys fell out. I'm a guy btw not a girl.

  • @Kibristurkoglu Well first, we've been together nearly a year and neither of us could ever dream of us breaking up. Secondly, I have more than him down there. I've made a huge network of friends that I can always rely on, including my best friend and his family that I've known since I was 12.

  • @serpensortiia one of my best experience of studying abroad was being alone from people that I'm familiar/comfortable with because it gave me a chance to rely on myself. When you get in trouble, sometimes having someone there makes you forget that you're capable of taking care of yourself.

  • @search4alice That's very true, but I have seperation issues that... I don't think I could do it personally. I have more fun when I'm with people than without. But that's me, if you can be on your own and have fun, awesome! I'm just not that kind of person.

  • Puerto Rico has some of the best looking women in the world. GL

  • Wow, Ana's Spanish is shit. I'm guessing she does not speak Spanish. Make it stop. I'm so sick of people who don't speak a language, and then try to over-do the accent. It's so sophomoric!!

  • There is no difference between US States and Puerto Rico we do everything the same, the only difference i can see is that we speak more Spanish.

  • Why is EVERYONE acting like Puerto Rico is another country. It's a US federal territory kind of like Washington D.C. Except is more beautiful.

  • Spanish

  • Wow, Ana needs to brush up on her e

  • @serpensortiia Well you should have included that in the video. TYT staff has a habit of assuming based off all raw footages. And regarding being an ESL teacher, I hope you're in it for the joy of teaching and not get concerned over the money. ;)

  • @MisledTrick I did. They cut the video. The video itself was about 2:30 - 3:00 long. Notice they only took about :15 of that.

  • Puerto Rico is part of the US, Ana. Come on. Where's your postcolonial thinking cap?

  • I would never do this. I am studying abroad, and I have a gf in my new country. That however will not affect my decision to stay or go. You have to think of yourself.

  • ana that is the primary reason womne are fucking dumb asses at that age

  • "I would never consider going abroad ESPECIALLY SOMEWHER LIKE PUERTO RICO if it weren't for him". Seems like her boyfriend was her primary reason. Someone didn't have her priorities in order. Some Universities may be more affordable here, but a lifestyle here is not as cheap and dandy; we are experiencing as much economic crisis as any other country.

  • @Kababaza Read the comment I just left.

  • doesn't studying abroad usually cost more?

  • FUCK i was going to leave a comment about broads and its already the top one >:(

  • I don't think it will be anywhere near as new if you study abroad with a partner. Although that's not the end of the world. I think the excitement level would be reduced.

  • hand out deodorants while you're at it, they fucking stink

  • @tomdt105 Puertoricans in New York are not the same as Puertoricans in the island asshole.

  • She said the only reason she considered studying abroad is because of bf. Big mistake, imo.

  • Puerto Rico doesn't count as abroad to me.

  • I thought she was gonna say she was going to meet hot men.

  • My girlfriend left me because she went to university 120 miles away.

    *sigh*

  • @MattLoaf92

The only fair thing would be to go to another country some thousand miles away, get your degree there, and not be in debt.

  • @MattLoaf92 youre better off without fickle people in your life

  • @MattLoaf92

haha. That's how bitches are. She probably left for a dude who was better looking and had more money than you! Don't feel bad though. There was nothing you could do. Female are hypergamous by nature. They'll leave you for a better looking/richer dude in an instant!

  • @MattLoaf92 sounds like she did you a favor.

  • @MattLoaf92 You fool! Everyone knows the best GF/BF relationships start and prosper at University/College! :P

  • It'd be funny if she got there and it turned out her online boyfriend was actually an old man with no teeth. Or a serial killer.

  • @KaliDemiDarkness My boyfriend stayed here for two months with me. Trust me, I know what I'm doing.

  • It's a great experience. An education, plus plus!

  • Ana quite bein a hoe, if she likes this guy she can keep it in her pants and be with one person at a time in "peutro thrico (accent)"

  • @ 0:14 since when is Puerto Rico a country? not trying to nitpick, just saying she probably got too distracted focusing so much on the pronunciation. Shit happens, i guess.

  • @Sinnotchristlike

I'm Mexican. Do your research and you'll find that you can find a quality University, especially if you shoot for campuses associated with the National Autonomous University--if you manage to make it in, you'll find yourself being NOT in debt at all by the time you finish your studies--the perks of a socialized education.

  • Studying in Puerto Rico is great , the tuition for my entire education will be around the same price as one semester in a university in the states.Maybe even less.

  • @nina090991

I know what you mean. Over here in mexico my entire "tuition" was less than one fourth of a single semester in the United States from a "name" University.

  • @unabomberman I go to one of the top iberocamerican university and is so cheap ,from top humanities program to great engineering programs.

  • @nina090991 That's the greatest part. After only two and a half years I'm $15,000 in debt but going to PR, that number won't rise that much, if at all.

  • @serpensortiia I got a really small scholarship ($6,000 a year but that covers my entire tuition and I get a refund check of about $1,000 + every semester. For example if someone was to receive a pell grant , the grant will cover all of their education expenses .

  • please ana. porto rick-o

  • ana is such a slut for latin cock its crazy.

  • @Ch4rl3magn3 too bad i'm full blooded italian. although the italian language is derived from latin so that might count for her.

  • I've studied many abroads, but my GF doesn't like it

  • She isn't even studying abroad. She's still in America!!!

  • @lordblazer Tell that to my current university who is considering this abroad. Not my decision.

  • I would never go abroad for a girl we aren't married fuck that. I'm not dropping my life for someone of many I'll meet in my life sorry. Now would I go abroad for experience for myself hell yes I would and enjoy the best I could.

  • @NikEgUy101 i agree

  • I would never travel abroad to see my girl... I'd would be sooooo much harder to cheat

  • I have nothing against it except for the fact if the degree ends up worthless, or close to worthless in helping you get a job back in the US. Cheaper usually means less reputable.

  • @MisledTrick Only in the United states, I actually transferred from the University of Pittsburgh to RWTH Aachen, which is has been called the M.I.T. of Europe, I'm paying about 100 Euros a semester, for a MUCH more reputable university.

  • @MisledTrick That's a big misconception , people think that the higher the cost the better and that is far from the true.

  • @MisledTrick PR degrees are the same as US degrees since they're a US territory. Plus I want to be an overseas ESL teacher. Like where I got my degree is gonna matter.

  • some people really fall in love n stay together forever. people who havent experienced that kind of relationship wont agree with such decisions; they just cant relate. not everyone can be so lucky.

  • @Pelonetillo Thank you. At least someone understands.

  • I wouldn't go as far aas Puerto Rico, but another province/state for a girlfriend I would

  • Well I have to say that Puerto Rico does have some great English programs, both in Linguistics and Literature. Also, we Puerto Ricans by now speak English quite fluently. I am currently studying English Literature here and I'm taking classes with some world recognized scholars while paying an affordable tuition. That said, the whole argument of going to study to another country only because of a relationship is most definitely ridiculous.

  • Definitely.

  • It depends. If they're going, too, then no. ;-)

  • My cousin is going to college in Scotland, and I'm pretty sure it's for a girl he met back in the states. She's from Latvia but was in the US on a study abroad of her own. I think going to any school just to be with your bf or gf is a terrible idea, and it's even worse when you're going international.

  • @stigger91

yep, but if you're young do it. Why? Why not? I mean seriously. If the relationship turns sour. You might have formed meaningful friendships and other relationships while over there. I think doing that sort of thing while you're young helps form your identity. Even your decision to not do it forms your identity as one who might not take a reckless risk. But reckless risks are the ones that pay off the most. For me I know. Japan with no knowledge of the language. @_@

  • that isnt desasterious that is so cute alli and charles (CTFxC) met through FB when it was brand new and they were both in college and this is a ha bisky upload

  • Hell I would do it for me. I would go to Germany to major in German and international relations/finance. Germany has cheaper education, I know that because a German college student taught my German class for 1 month, and told us practically everything about college in Germany. That just added my wanting to study in Germany. If I cannot study in Germany, I would study in Japan.

  • @visini14. cool story bro

  • Comment removed

  • Puerto Rico is as abroad as Hawaii or Alaska... But even if it were, say, Lebanon, sure, why not? Even if you break up with the person later, even if spend 4 years there and end up coming back to mainland US to spend another 4 years in a second degree, you still did something cool.

  • @DeJach Lmao, I hope this is sarcasm speaking.

  • @DeJach

she might even relocate to puerto rico which is convenient because well no paper work for customs or immigration.

  • @DeJach school isn't cool

  • Comment removed

  • I would study any broad that is good looking.

  • @burntonion05 oooohohohoho

  • @burntonion05 Nicely done.

  • @burntonion05. huh? i don't get it. y do u have to be good looking to study abroad?

  • @burntonion05 "Human studies"? :P

  • DOMO!

  • @DerkaDerka66 Domo kicks ass.

  • no. bf and gf come and go unless u plan on getting married you shouldn't. You shouldn't be getting married anyways in college maybe in university.

  • Studying English linguistics is very different from studying English, and Puerto Rico is actually a great place to study English linguistics. Also, would studying in Puerto Rico really be considered study abroad...?

  • @Tetraglot Ask my home university. They're the ones who are considering it abroad, not me.

  • no way
