  • ..thank you and thanx for watching... :)

  • good clip man...

  • Again I respond with some of your own own comments. It helps me a lot .. again, God bless you !! It's with great joy I share this guys view of "THE SHACK" Somehow I could not see my "Father's" goodness, until I read the book "THE SHACK". Having identified God with my bad feelings, the book brought me to touch with my 'tasteless Christianity' .... and I am living away and far from GOD and the book showed me it is possible to 'return' to the "Father" .....

  • @prof10001 ...thanx a lot :) ...im glad that we can return to what is plain and simple...

  • I agree with you 100%! I respect you for putting your feelings up on the internet and speaking your mind. I agree that this is not a manual, and instead a tool, I feel the same way. I love that you smiled when you said "I can turn around" because that's always true and don't you ever forget it! With God, it's never too late to accept his love. :) I wish you a happy life.

  • Thank you for posting this :) God is good and I love that there are books like the Shack that can help us in our walk with God. I couldn't have put it better myself that The Shack is not a manual, it is a tool!! Continue living for God, reading your bible and walking with Him. You have a great heart. God bless

  • This book changed my life..I felt so close to GOD and hope it never leaves me! All of this book helped me in my thinking of GOD and Jesus..I wish I could put into words what the words meant to me..I feel GOD had a BIG part of the writing this book..Just as this man says, this book is a "tool" I feel so much love in my heart..

  • wow, says it all, the shack is a wonderful book, and you are a wonderful person to give the world that kind of honesty. God be with you :-)

  • ...thank you for your reply... :)

Lords is the glory for ever...

    b.

  • I am reading this book too (in Englist just like you did- I bet :) - very nice of you to share your feelings...I am glad and I feel what you feel ...I know what you talking about....glad to see / I am happy to see a person who understending God's nature...GOD = GOOD

  • Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Brando. God is with you, and trust He will always guide your life !! Remember that God is good !! Even a year after I posted my comment to you, your testimony still makes sense ! Thanks for your testimony !!

  • Wonderful response... I totally agree with where you are coming from

  • Branko, thanks for your testimony. I was surprised to find so much hatred towards this book. I purchased this book that the salesperson told me about and warned me that many people were critical because of God being portrayed as a woman. Then I thought, well we are made in likeness of God, male and female. I think it's refreshing, and though not a doctrinal book, it is what it is, a fictional book. May the Lord use it to soften hearts to the gospel.

  • Branko, thanks for your testimony coming straight from yoour hart. Our Papa nevers lives none of his children , Papa is in you and all over you, i napewno tebe pomoze. Bozena

  • that what paul young was giving , what you responed with love :)

amd you mean every word thak you for you your eyes and soul towards love :)

  • Thanks for your heart felt comments about "The Shack" I also returned to God through this book and I have been filled with Love for my fellow human beings. I feel a connection to your spirit and I appreciate your words....

  • nadam se da govoris srpski....

    dopada mi se tvoj komentar...

danas sam procitala tu knjigu, dopada mi se

i na neki nacin otvara mi oci...

... ne zelim da se bojim jer ON me voli,

i zelim da i ja NJEGA upoznam i volim kao sto ON poznaje mene....

  • @TheBoka1986

I hope you speak Serbian ....

    I like your suggestion ...

Today I read that book, I love it

and in a way opened my eyes ...

... I do not want to be afraid because he loves me

  • When God tells me to do something,He always does it gently.I KNOW,that I can disobey and it will be OK. He doesnt force me.That is why I always obey. I just feel it will be fine. I feel that I dont have to.

While reading the Shack,I wondered why none of the Christians in the book told Mack that it was God who killed his daughter. That Mack should accept God´s will. That God was right to kill her.

In real life, when something not that horrible happens,Christians tell you this crap all the time.

  • I appreciate your response to the book. Welcome to the great controversy. As you can see, the book has also generated quite a negative response from the doctrine police. I recommend you go with the love of God and pay little heed to those who care more about what they claim is biblical than they care about your relationship with God. Many of them know neither God nor the scriptures very well.

  • thank you for your honesty. thank you for posting your inner feelings of the transition you are going through with in your faith. theology student?? me to! have you got the chance to read Fowler's stages of faith. Your comment reminded me of that book.

  • ...thank you, yes i have finished master degree this year...i dont know that book...not so many resources here in Slovakia :)...but i will try to get it ...again thank you for sharing...b.

  • Brano .. good comment ! You know I came from much of the same background that you and PYoung describe, where my idea of God was wrong... but it is changing !! God bless U !!

  • ...God bless you to prof10001 :)

  • Great Book and great personal assessment... thanks for sharing... ;)

  • I always found God a very hard judgemental God, and I realised in a course how we see God as our own fathers. I can understand the reason the author wrote the way he did. Yes this book is a fiction book and we must all realise it doesn't replace the bible. This book allows us to look at our own relationship with God. It has the potential to save a lot of counselling sessions and learn to forgive and reflect on our own lives and help us have a closer relationship with God.

  • thanks for sharing your heart... the book enhanced my walk with God too... it's great that God can't be put in a box! And wonderful that he desires relationship with us!

  • Thanks for sharing your thoughts on youtube man. You sound a really sincere guy. As well as reading the Shack I have found great encouragement in reading a little daily book called "God Calling" by "The two Listeners" (can get on Amazon). To me Jesus speaks and reveals himself through this in profound ways. I was amazed at how many parallel themes there were in "God calling" written in 1935 and The Shack. I'd really recommend it as a follow on from the shack.

  • ...thank you xapk

...and thank you all who aded a responce

all what i want is to understand Gods heart as best as i can

i am fine with not being able to understand everything about Gods nature but atleast i dont have to make myself a system of thoughts that will put God into the posession of my mind

also i can know that He is good and that is a safe place to start every theologic reasoning

    with respect to you all

    b.

  • Thanks for this, dear brother! I love your story and look forward to knowing you!

God used the Shack story to deeply touch me, too.

He loves you (and me) more than we can know! (Doesn't even Ephesians 3 say that, even though Paul was praying that we'd know the depth and height and width and length of God's love? Yes!) And His power to make good out of the stupid things we do ourselves and the evil others mean for us (Doesn't Romans 8 talk about that?) is amazing, too, isn't it!

  • ...thanx Wayne...

  • hey well said brother, it caused a drawing closer to God, good for you, i loved the book and i agree with what you said that you dont beleive it gives a full detail about God, i agree mate, i dont think that was the point either, but it does open your eyes, and it does go well with the prodigal sons brother...live with the father but didnt realy know him...sad hey, go for Jesus bro you seem real genuine, bless ya. Wayne.

  • You have beautiful eyes:)

And I have read the Shack too - finished today. It is helpful in understanding the God of the bible better. Beautiful and inspired!

  • aaand he also does have a beautiful wife :)

  • Very well said!!!!!!

  • Good for you! I want to encourage you to continue your wonderful walk with God. Thanks for your sharing. I think this book is a tool, not a manual. It's an inspiration, not the Bible. It helps us like how a friend helps us to get closer to God, but of course we know it doesn't replace the Bible. Just like a friend's sharing doesn't replace God Himself. But God can use a friend to help us.

  • You brought a tear to my eye my friend. Peace and Love to you.

  • Thank you. Very personal. In fact this book will make you want to read the Bible. Any book that makes you want to know God better and puts a longing in your heart must be good book. Love does not force. I agree with mikethebear2007. This book can save people years of misunderstanding God.

  • How often do you read the Gospels? Would you say you know them well? Have you been searching for Jesus in the pages of scripture?

  • kool

  • is He to you? how? isn't you that sucks, and God is super-cool?

  • be careful of being lured away in subtlety by non-biblical materials. The Bible is only one, and there is no book above it. It is sad to see bros and sis who claim 2 b Xtians yet are depending their search for God on books other than the Bible. If your search in not Bible based, you are not searching for the True God.

just be careful and reconsider, friend.

    In Jesus' name

  • This book is inspired you know. It doesn't lure people away from the bible and it doesn't contradict it. It sheds light on many misconceptions that have evolved over the years. Have you read it?

  • I have read The Shack and it indeed does contradict the Bible.

  • It does contradict the Bible, thus sadly many will misunderstand the true doctrines of the Trinity. All from one mans imagination.

But for people like this User, it can be a bridge to God, a True Living God.

    MJ

  • Amen, kemi4. The heresies of patrispassianism, pantheism and modalism are only a few of the serious problems with this book. It might have been inspired but after comparing it to Scripture, any biblically savvy Christian will instantly recognise that it wasn't by God's Spirit.

The Shack a dangerous book, people. Listen to the people warning you about it. It could save your life.

  • There are quite a few comments in The Shack that are a direct and blatant attack on the Bible itself. Wherever Young mentions the Bible at all, he does so with a sense of literary disdain, as if he hates the idea of God speaking through a book.

  • Very true! These misconceptions are in large part the result of Calvins' doctrinal teachings. See the channel

calvinsimisacult for more in depth detail and responses.

  • Nice job Brother.

I was an atheist for 20 years. I am only 6 months old in Christianity. After reading The Shack, I feel if it was available several years ago, it would have helped me to understand and make my path to Christ.

  • ...tesim s tebou... :) ...I rejoice with you...

  • Ahoj vlastofko
