ahah um well for this one i had a picture of Optimus and all i had to do was join some lines to make a layer that could be cut out and also work of the colouring layers and stuff where as some stuff like when i made a stencil of me and my mates i used photoshop to change it and then like the nike stencil i did in another one of my vids i jsut got a photo and then tunred it inot a stencil by eye (eg joining lines to form layers)

i dont print anythign on it i put the stencil on paper then put it under the plastic and then cut out with a hot knife over the top

hey.. how would i stencil the "punisher" skull?

My wall is gray and so i am assuming the colors would be black and white? HELP PLEASE !

could do it three ways either (1)spray the skull out line (filled in) white on the wall then make a new black layer and spray on the detail or (2)cut out the white skull but have lines running from the eyes and nose to the outside of the stencil you wil be left with lines on the final peice but you can do it this way in one layer or (3) just cut out and spray the eyes and nose.. if i was you i would do it the 2 layer way it will look best

and whats the stuff that your using to do your stencils with, like that clear paper???

It can be hard so its a good idea to make marks on your page to line the stencil up with (if your doing something like the transformer stencil all the layers have the basic shape of the transformer so i didnt need to do that).

The stuff i made stencils out of is called "acetate" you can get it from most art shops its a bit hard to cut with just a blade though so if you going to use it might be good to get a hot knife.

Comment PART 1:

Um you're probably best off watching videos of people cutting there own stencils from start (not tutorials) because most of the tutorials are single layer. I cant really help you much more than that because it is kind of hard to explain, when you making a stencil though there is going to be one detail layer (it is normally black and the last layer to be sprayed so that it can be seen easily)

PART 2:

the other layer are normally just colour layers e.g. in this video the stencil looks like crap until the last layer because all there is are a red, blue and grey out lines of a transformer. The first few layers (colour layers) are normally starting from lightest to darkest so that for example the first grey layer I sprayed in this stencil is really light and the other colours will show up fine over the top of it without looking weak or

PART 3:

blending with another colour (this also allows you too make the first layer the size of the entire stencil even if parts of it are not going to be visible, making it really easy to cut out and doesn't take long).

This is a bit hard to understand and I haven't really covered it all so if you have any more questions just ask.

um i didnt print it on the acetate i printed it out on paper then cut it out using a hot knife and i made it that big becasue i wanted a really big stencil to put on my wall and thanks

thanks i print out how ever many copys of the image i need (how many layers are needed) then i cutout the differnt colours in each picture (use photoshop if you are stenciling a person and use the cutout effect this will make the layers visable)
