Jesus christ the part after the first minute is good... The violin melody, then the gothic sad church organ put on top, then after that the faint & soft female choir that compliments the organ.

And the part only lasts a tiny fraction of the song, like the titular "teardrop" falling on an icy ground. This is *real* music - I love tracks that do this. It's definately done on purpose. Tease you with an insanely cool part, but just little enough to make you want to listen to it again.

Actually...original vampires were weak to running water,due to their unholy nature.

Alucard being a dampyr,shares some of the weakness of vampires,like being weak to running water.Still,he is immunne to sunlight and have most of the powers a vampire has,like: control over darkness,super-human strenght and endurance,natural magic and morphing abilities.

Annoying as all hell, but a necessary evil :) For sure Crystal Teardrop is on a whole other level of sophistication of sound, but for SCIV both the Waterfall (a personal fave, and Submerged City) gave us an early taste of the direction Castlevania was going in cuz the music off the game really set off the talent that was too come.

Hands down, one of my favorite tracks from Castlevania SOTN. I used to purposely play this level for an hour at a time, just to run through it and listen to this gorgeously haunting melody. All I can think of as a recommendation are other game/anime soundracks

You should try osts from grandia, xenosaga and such. Of course, SOTN has an unique feel to it, you won't find it anywhere else
